Our Hotel was the Vil.la Romana in Salou. Most aspects of the Hotel were good, clean rooms, great food and very friendly staff. The resident entertainment was awful and irritating, on 3 occassions I was pestered by their childish antics, it seems they enjoy laughs at others peoples expense. Probably best entertaining children rather than picking on adults and embarrasing them in front of others. It is no fun to be tickled with a feather when sleeping by the pool after a long journey, despite my wifes objection this idiot continued his quest to awaken me. This entertainer would also sneak up on you, with feather, in other parts of the hotel, even when crossing the dance hall area totally oblivious to my distain. The indoor leisure facilites were poor, the flooring around the pool ares had planks coming away and the steam room was out of commission on a few occassions. Dress code for evening meals was terrible, some looked as if they had just come in from the beach whilst others made the effort to suit the occassion. The transfer in was shocking and subject to a separate complaint, it took 2 hours, actually longer than the flight in!!!!! I don't usually carp about the many holidays I go on but on this occassion I feel justified in expressing my feelings....please get rid of those terrible in house entertainers.

Went here with my mum 3 year old daughter and best friend september 2007. when we got there the heat was amazing, the hotel itself was lovely , very friendly staff! we did not stay in the hotel though, we stayed in houses accross the road which were beautiful, 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with 2 showers and a bath, lovely kitchen with a ful cooker and washing machine, sofa dining table, huge patio, 2 sun terraces (1 private on the 3rd floor!!!) with an amazing view, pool was 1 minute walk was usually quiet which was a good thing! about a 1 minute walk 2 the beautifl beach and close 2 most shops, 15 minute bus trip into the main centre in Salou ! night time was good we ate in the hotel bar/restaurat most nights, the food was delicious and they did wonderful cocktails also. the staff in the bar were very nice and friendly! there was a entertainer called Cruella evry bight she did games etc with the kids, which gave me a little break, there was a games room also with the internet. It was my little girls first time abroad and she loved evry minute of it.it was very good for families and would give it 10/10 in all categories and i would most definetely recommend this hotel aswell, i will be booking up again this year!

The truth on the apartments is, the rooms are 10/10 every thing you need even a washer, microwave, fridgefreezer, staff are very friendly. The pool is not massive and can become crowded sometimes. The bar/restaurant is resonable price and good food. The supermarket is ok with fair selection, there is a bigger one round the corner so overall acomadation and bar ect are good. The bad points now the location is near cap salou 5 min walk to the beach and bars in cap salou, longer coming back as its up hill, the bars are quite good one has happy hour 9pm till 10pm then 11.30pm till 12.30am even on kids drinks. There is a bus stop 2 mins away that takes you to salou every 15 mins cost 1.40euros each taxi costs 7.80euros back for 4 passengers. Also you may have to pay a deposit on arrival of 100 euros this is returned the day you leave
