everything on this holiday was fine until we wanted to book a thomson highlights trip,we had no visit from a rep and were given just the 24/7 phone number .....the helpline the only thing is with the helpline it is not a Madiera number its a uk number,and calls are charged at national rate plus any service provider charge.Talk about taking costs out of your business and deftly passing them on to Joe soap we saw and spoke to other reps who are laughing there socks off at the futile attempt to cut cost.Ifound myself on the phone to wherever for around 10 minutes to do business with Thomson and the day after a lady appeared to collect .....yes youve got it my money!!she told us the 24/7 service was by popular demand by Thomson customers,by survey,we have travelled many times with Thomson and have never seen such a request.We do not either agree with or condone this style of operation and shall think twice before booking again.For survey read" management cost cutting document" dont trust it.
