We had a week's holiday in the Thalassa at the end of September and, within a week of coming back, booked to go back in November! If you want a relaxing break and a friendly welcome then don't look further than this hotel. The Thalassa is spotlessly clean and ideally situated on the beach. The food was good and catered well for meat-eaters and veggies alike. The entertainment team deserve a particular mention - some of the most hard-working and friendly people we've ever met. Make the effort to learn some Tunisian Arabic and you'll earn a few smiles (though be careful not to confuse the Arabic word for 'bottle' with the similar sounding translation for 'kiss' - we made our waiter blush!!)Happy holidays!!

We arrived to find the hotel was only minutes away from the airport, infact bang opposite, this wasnt pointed out in the brochure but was not a a problem as it meant there was no long coach journey and the noise wasnt a problem at all.The hotel is wonderfull, very clean, the staff are remarkable and the entertainment is the best we have ever seen, and there was plenty of it day and night. The food was amazing, something for everyones choice and the restaraunt staff were very helpfull and accomodating to our needs wwith a great sense of humour. The only downside is that you are in the middle of nowhere and the nearest shop is 40 minutes walk and you are not allowed to take any food or drink into the hotel that you purchase outside. It wasnt a problem as we were half board and didnt need to. We would go back for another relaxing week, we didnt go any any trips but next time we would go for longer and would. Its a hotel well worth the money.

We've just returned from a week's stay in the Thalassa Monastir and had to virtually drag ourselves away (wished we'd booked to stay a fortnight!). The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, the food is good (caters well for veggies too)and, as two young(ish!)females we felt very safe. Don't be put off by its proximity to the airport - it's actually much less obtrusive than you'd imagine (in fact, it's quite fascinating when you do see the planes taking off!!). Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and any problems/queries we had were dealt with promptly and efficiently. The entertainment team warrant a particular mention - some of the most hardworking and friendly people we've come across (though they came to know us as the 'lazy girls', who shunned anything that was more strenuous than lying on a sunbed!!)The weather was brilliant all week - though the mosquitos nibbled at most people (though not me, strangely!!) so it may be a good idea to take some repellent/bite cream with you. We'd highly recommend this hotel and are planning a return trip very soon!

This is the first time we have gone to Tunisia. We were very impressed by the friendly staff at our hotel. The accommodation, service, food and entertainment were excellent. The choice of buffet is incredible. One problem not all the foods in the restaurant are labelled so its a bit of trial & error unless you ask. The swimming pools are great and the beach is a stones throw away. Watch out for tiny jellyfish we all got stung but it was only was a problem if there were big waves. One downside was the aircraft noise but you get used to it but that is compensated by the 5 minute transfer. They are slow through passport control and make sure you fill in the demarcation card, there was a mad scamble to fill it in at the airport because we were not told about it. Keep the bottom half of the card for the return. Go on the trips, the visit to the animal park and pirate ship were especially enjoyable. There are plenty of organised games to do around the pool and my 5 year old son loved the mini disco. We tend to go somewhere different each year but if we did go back we would gladly stay at this hotel.

I have been on many holidays but this one has to be the best. The food is amazing and the people are the nicest i have ever met. Espically a man called bizz bizz who works for the animations team. I am soon getting married to him in the hotel so watch out for us. Overall an amazing holiday.
