1st thought are oh my god, im across the road from the airport!! but actually, you hardley notice it at all. The entrance & reception areas are stunning, especially the view form reception out to the pools and the beach. The whole hotel was very clean & tidy and the staff were helpful.
The entertainments team work extremely hard, its seems, night & day! they never seem to rest.
The pools were a little on the fresh side when 1st getting in, but you soon warm up! Gardens nice and relaxing, and the options of 2 outside bar/restaurants during the day was nice. Highly reccomend this hotel! i will be going back again this year without doubt.

When you first walk in to the hotel, you think, oh this is lovely, but as we entered are room we where really disappointed,it was clean but so bland, lacking in comfort. Not enough entertainment in the evening too and as one of the other guests mentioned you can not venture out at all day or night on your own without the feeling of not being safe which most of the other guests felt the same, which is a pity. The beach also wasnt very clean, but may have had a clean up ready for the spring.

Hotel Thalassa is wonderful. The staff were exceptionally good and cleanliness, food and service excellent. We went on all excursions we could fit in and our only complaint is the time taken to pick other folks up from other hotels along the way - this took up to two and a half hours one day! The one low point was the reps show which was amateur in the extreme - basically just miming to tapes - but this is optional. All the other shows and entertainment was first class. Disappointing though that no-one actually played the piano in the piano bar! Would definately go again.

Went to the Thalassa summer 2005. It was absolutley brilliant, the food was tasty, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was out of this world. Extremley good value for money, the hotel should be a 5 star! The rooms were spotless and it really was a top quality hotel - both indoor and outdoor pools were great and the reception area wonderful.
It is situated 5 minutes from the airport, which is great - dont be put off by this, the sounds are hardly noticeable. As there were 4 of us in my group we were allocated a double balcony room, which was great - our total view included the gardens, the pool, the beach and the sea! The beach is lovley, and the sea is turquoise and clear.
All in all an amazing holiday, we will definetley be going back soon, i cannot recommend it enough!

... look no further than the Hotel Thalassa! Its perfect for that end of winter break if relaxation is your prime factor. The hotel is very clean and very impressive, the food in the main restaurant varied, very good and plenty of it (but forget the free a la carte evening - food very disappointing). The animation team discretely worked hard to keep interested guests entertained throughout the day into evening. Don't think about going out after your evening meal though - there's nowhere to go!

The grounds/garden of the hotel are wonderful for sunbathing and the outdoor pool although too cold to use in March, impressive. The indoor pool on the other hand is small, luxurious and really warm! The beach was unfortunately recovering from 2 weeks of stormy weather when we arrived, but looked wonderful after a few days of sun and tidying up (sea too cold to swim in). The staff are very attentive, friendly, but not overbearing. The local train to Monastir is an experience not to be missed (station only 10 mins walk away). Airport noise does not cause problems.

Only downside is weather can be unpredictably windy and cloudy early March. The rooms although clean, very spacious and very comfortable with shower/bath, large clean balcony and lots of hot water could do with a little attention (but some rooms were being refurbished when we were there). Room cleaning was superb.

We feel totally relaxed after a week of great hospitality in relaxing surroundings!
