This hotel was excellent! This was my first holiday with friends so was rather apprehensive as to what I would find, but this hotel was the best by far. There was a large group of us spread over 5 hotels in Magluff and this hotel was the best. The location was perfect being just over the road from BCM and on the beachfront. The hotel was basic and the kitchen cupboards rather miss matched but for a holiday when sun sea and sand are the main parts the hotel gave you everything you could want. When I got back I found a friend of mine went to the same hotel but with a bunch of lads and he also agreed that it really was the best hotel. I'm not sure I would recommend it for families with young children as there are many teenagers in the resort who arrive home at various hours to may cause problems with sleeping. Overall I would rate this hotel the best in Magluff for those wanting to go on a holiday with friends who want to be close to the beach and close to the nightlife, as if your like me, being a girl you don't want a long walk back at night in high heels.
on arrival at this hotel it looked very nice, the rooms tell a slightly different story, check out the illumious yellow kitchen tiles and very dated cupboards, self catering yet no toaster, an ancient kettle that after 25mins still hadn't boiled (we bought another in the local shop) no bed sheets for the 3rd and 4th beds for over a week, a rep that visited just once a week - usually late- and then to top it all being charged for the hotel sunbeds - no mention of that in the brochure- even late in the afternoon i out up an umbrella to shade the baby for a while and the attendent was straight over - additional charge for this as well, i phoned the thompson helpline they were very helpful faxed over my complaint form except I didnt receive it till after i checked out on the last day, by that ppoint I was just pleased to be going home, mind the lift doors the third one along seems to close after 3 seconds whether you are in fully or not, as my little girl found out on more than one occasion, lovely pool area and very good access to the beach, lots of noise from neighbouring hotels but then u dont go to maguluf for a peaceful hoilday - as ever the marineland, aqua parks and pirates are an absolute must - as is the lady tavern and tom browns for good food at good prices, although steer clear of del boys my 11month old been very ill with food poisoning after eating from there, every single gift shop owner/worker very very polite and child friendly all gave sweets to the little ones - nice genuine people- if ya in need of a haircut i'd recommend K T's (british owned hair salon- next to tom browns - good cut good prices - although on the whole feel very let down by thompson - this was not a cheap holiday and dont see the point of selfcatering if you cant cater for the basics like Toast - doubt very much whether i would book again through them overall good hoilday but let down by the limited facilties in the apartment etc
