This is an excellent hotel that knows how to cater well for returning guests. They make you welcome. Due to make major room improvemnts that will ensure that this hotel continues to provide a very high standard of holiday accomodation. Would recommend the St George Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with high standards.

This was our second visit to St George and from the moment we arrived were made to feel extremely welcome, the reception staff actually welcomed us back ,gave us a welcoming drink and the room we requested. The hotel itself is large but had for us a family atmosphere, there are plenty of sunbeds scattered about the grounds although the towel brigade soon snapped up the ones on the beach area. All the staff are polite and eager to please and the young boys and girls serving drinks are an absolute delight especially when they get to know your face and by the end of the week were even remembering our room number. The food is exceptional, anyone moaning about it must be used to michelin star style dining as we found it faultless in every respect with soo much variety and the tenderness of the meat on the carvery is amazing. Our room on the top floor was perfect, wonderful view over the pool and shore line and being on the end of the corridor we didnt suffer with the usual slamming of doors late at night, so would recommend spending a little extra for a sea view otherwise you may well end up looking over the car park. This review is for the Main hotel as this year the sister hotel next door was closed(the gardens) which was a bit of a shame as last year it was nice to stroll round there after dinner for a quiet drink on the terrace, although there is plenty of seating in the main hotel with a good variety of evening entertainment with the all important Bingo!

For six years running we went to the Cynthiana beach hotel which is about a mile towards Coral bay but found most people were getting off at St George and now we have been ourselves it's not hard to see why, true the Cynthiana is a 3 star but the difference in quality is miles apart, we just wish we had changed earlier. This year we went all inclusive which is well worth the extra £120 per person as you can, as most people do, eat and drink more on holiday and in our case we teamed up with two other couples who were also AI so no one worried about who's turn it was to sign for the drinks. If there is a downside and this is being picky is the location, it might not be to everyones taste as it's a bit out of the main "drag" but the bus service is excellent and you can get an all day ticket for 2 euros so to get into Pathos or Coral bay is no bother. To sum up if you choose St George especially late in the season if you fail to love it then you might just as well stay at home!

This is a great hotel for anyone who likes a relaxed atmosphere with some entertainment thrown in if you want it! Bedrooms are spacious with balcony overlooking the sea in our case - cleaned everyday. Some wonderful sunsets, weather was perfect for sunbathing but a little too hot for us to do anything else. We have never been on a holiday where the weather was constantly sunny and hot for the whole of our holiday - no rain - 14 days - superb! Pools, beach, pool bars and beachside bars well stocked, helpful staff. Spa was wonderful - good value for money with special offers on whilst we were there. Jet skis, paragliding and banana boats for hire on beach. Lovely safe sea swimming in tidal pool. Lots of daytime entertainment - staff really talented. Meals - good variety - something for everyone - as much as you could eat - we didn't need all inclusive - half board was more than enough but there was a special offer on for all inclusive if we wanted to upgrade. The only problem for us was no cash machine in hotel and nearest was Paphos town 7 kilometres away but bus regular and cheap 2 Euros all day from 6.30am until midnight. Car hire was cheap - we purchased ours from the hotel reception and the car was delivered to us with full tank of petrol and collected. Hotel reception staff were really helpful. I had to use the business facilities and the hotel secretary did everything for me - free of charge!! We will be back this holiday was fantastic!

We stayed in the St George Hotel. Had a fabulous break, food, staff, hotel brilliant. 17 year old thought it was brilliant and would go back, but without mum and dad! Don't think we would go all inclusive as it would be too limiting. Some great places to go on the local bus, 2 euros for a day-rider which takes you from the Harbour to Coral Bay, about 20 minute journey each way from our hotel and running every 15 minutes. Some lovely places to visit. Only problem was - it was too hot!!
