This was our sixth visit to Turkey so we new what to expect. firstly I should point out that we stayed at the Palm Gardens and not Pinewood Palm Gardens is not on the drop down list. We took advantage of the extra leg room on the flight which was a very good decision the flight was good staff very attentive there was no film or radio and I thought the food on the aircraft was at best disapointing. staff was a little confused on the return journey as to who was doing what and finished serving before they got to us so we were a little hungry by the time we got back to Gatwick. The tranfer from Dalaman to resort took about 1 hour 15 which could have been reduced but the coach was comfortable and the air conditioning was working well. when we reached the resort Palm Gardens looked very nice it was two am so we were shown to our room the room itself was large enough a seperate bedroom and a balcony we were on the third floor and there are no lifts. Ther was no furniture for the balcony so you had to use the chairs and table from the living area the chairs not really comfortable but we survived. The bedrooms walls where dirty it looked like the previous occupants had a child who had put there feet all over the wall and had left dirty marks all over the wall, there was also dried sauce on the back of the door and I am not sure what was on the wall next to the mirror but thats best forgotten. I reported this fact the next morning to the reception and was told that it would be looked at. After three days I got fed up and cleaned all the walls myself. staff at the Palm Gardens were OK provided you used their restaurant and facilities but if like us we liked to go out to different places they tended to ignore you. The resort of Icmeler was great lots to do the beach is a bit limited but you could always get a bed and it was very relaxing, there are water sports for those who like that sort of thing. Over all we had a great holiday spoilt by a few minor issues i would recommend Icmeler to anyone who likes variety at reasonable prices you should try the Waterfall Restaurant while you are there its a lovely place and the food is good to.
Just returned after a two week holiday to the pine wood apartments icemelar. This was our second visit and throughly enjoyed it yet again. The apartments are basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean, the whole complex is spotless including the two pools. The owners and staff team are all really friendly, with nothing too much trouble. The local supermarket is just around the corner and again the staff are really friendly and helpful, money can be changed here with a really good rate. Fans and air conditioning is available for an extra charge (but make sure if you are sleeping in the room area, you have a blanket!!!). The resort is within walking distance and is quite big with an array of shops and restaurants (my husband and i would recommend the Indian and Chinese restaurant). Meals are cooked at the pine wood apartment complex and although the choice is less than other restaurants, the food is superb and really good value for money. The green boat company situated on the beach front is brilliant should you want to participate in a boat trip, the boats are smaller and the owner collects you from the apartment and returns you at the end of the day, although refreshments, ice creams and food on the boat (additional to what is included) is relatively expensive. Overall we had a fantastic time and will definately be planning to return probably next year. Thank you for a wonderful holiday
17 years after our last trip to Turkey we stopped at the pinewood apts. From the minute we arrived at the apts we were looked after excellently by Ibrahim & all the staff who could,nt do enough for you.food was spot on & at less than £3 for a full english!. The HP sauce was a little thinner than normal, just a note for all you brown sauce lovers. The apts were clean & tidy if a bit dated but were more than adequate for our needs.nice swimming pool & bar area although still a slight problem with getting a sunbed on a morning before 7_30am no towels allowed but i saw on several occasions towels that were not used for several hours ? needs looking at.the resort was lively enough plenty of bars & restaurants,Charlys Restaurant was hiped up to be one of the best,? well it was far from that very average,long wait for food &waiter was misleading when i asked about the price of the wine, he said it had come down from22 to 17 (lira) no pounds sterling which i found out when the bill came.Titanic restaurant a little farther down the road was excellent both in service & food highly recommend it,would go back for another week anytime
Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the pinewood apartments ichmela, we loved it there and will be returning in the near future. The staff are very friendly and welcoming an the a compaction is in a good location if you are wanting somewhere quiter and for family's there is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the main centre which we didn't mind. The rooms are basic but comfortable with a kitchenette and separate living area. The pinewood hold a BBQ every Wednesday which we want to twice and. Would highly recommend it also roast dinners of a Sunday which I would also recommend. We had a lovely time and look forward to returning in the near future.
we stayed at the Pinewood apartments in august for 14 days. The owners and all the staff are lovely, friendly people.There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance,all of which were reasonably priced. There was no entertainment in the apartments which was fine as there was plenty of entertainment going on in the different restaurants. I would definately recommend the Pinewood Apartments to others.
