Resort for access to nearby towns great, had a lovely time plenty of choice for eating out in the town. Easy travelling with the local dolmus. Hotel ok if your a night owl, music blasting into your room until early hours even if there are only a couple of guest at the bar. We had to change rooms. This did not spoil the holiday and would go back (not the same hotel). Got to paraglide of the mountain as the views are to die for. would rate holiday 8/10, hotel let it down.

Just got back from a week in Hisaronu at the Telmessos. Hisaronu is lively at night, loads of restaurants and bars - not cheap any more though! Lots of shops all seeming to sell fake designer goods. Weather was very, very hot although there was often a cooling breeze. Lots of trips and things to do. Recommend a Turkish bath! Booked late (two days before departure) and hotel was not full, given time of year. Both hotels (sister hotel is the Marcan) look okay. Nice pool areas, etc. Rooms are smallish and the fit and finish could be better. Also balconies are tiny. Staff are friendly and we didn't encounter any hard sell pool side for any excursions, etc. Pool was cleaned every morning. Could do with more umbrellas around the pool, although this was only an issue when guests decided they needed two or nicked yours while you're at the bar. We booked B&B and the breakfast was fine - Turkish version of continental: cornflakes, bread, cheeses, meats, melon, etc. Cooked breakfasts also available. Some complained about the wasps, but you're in a hotel with open spaces within gardens - what would you expect? One recommendation - pay for air conditioning! Now the bad stuff. Firstly, the bar staff seem to think they are at a festival. The music gets cranked up at about 10am and is relentless until around 3pm. You can't have a decent conversation in the bar without almost shouting. Health and safety is non existent. The hairdryers are in the bathroom next to the sink, and the fit and finish of sockets is not great. Everywhere you go, there are wires hanging out of the walls, etc. It really needs a good overhaul. Charge cards - the hotel give you a card at check in that you can charge items to at the bar & restaurant. We never had a problem with paying cash at the bar, but apparently, on the day before we left the management gave orders that all purchases had to be via the card. You can pay these off at any time, we did it every other day to help keep track. Keep receipts - we had no problems, but heard horror stories of extra items, and saw one bloke arguing over a #50 restaurant bill that appeared on his account, even though he was half-board! Added to this, you can't brink in drinks or snacks not bought in the hotel. Wouldn't be a problem, but their drinks and snacks are massively over-priced. 1 litre bottle of Coke was the equivalent of #3.50! Overall, we didn't expect much so had a good holiday, but wouldn't stay at this hotel again.
