When we first arrived at the hotel, it was 0100 in the early hours. We were given a room, no thompson staff had accompanied ourselves on the coach and no welcome pack was handed out to us, so all enquiries had to be made by ourselves, re times of meals etc. The first we saw of our Rep was 6.30 pm the following evening, and we only found this out by reading the large folder left on a desk by reception. That was the only time we ever saw the Rep, and even though the large folder informed us that we would be recieving details one or two days before departure, informing us of flight times, etc, none were forthcoming. There was a 24hr contact number in the folder for any major enquiries which I ended up having to call on the morning of our departure to find times of flights and pick ups. I found this most disapointing and the service of the Rep was very poor to say the least, which was made even worse when I could see that two German companies had their reps present on a morning and evening, every day.

Having got that off my chest, I would say that the Hotel itself, was very clean, the rooms were basic but comfortable. The staff were excellent, and would always be friendly and always show a smile. The Panoramic is set approximately five minutes walk from the Old Alcudia town and I would say is a quiet area. A short bus ride will take you to the livelier Alcudia and Alcudia Port itself. The small beach and hotel pool are adequate, but with regards to activities there is not much to do for the average teenager, and I would recommend that this hotel would be ideal for couples only or families with smaller children. There are shows and kiddy clubs but for anyone over the age of 10, I would suggest boredom may quickly set in. The meals in the resturant are excellent, but somewhat repetitive, however there is a constant refilling of platters, and a substantial choice of puddings and fruit.

I would recommend the hotel myself, and may also go back there, but not with my teenage son.
