From the moment we boarded the plane at Luton we were looked after. The assistance at Paphos airport and rep at the hotel were perfect both when flying out and upon return
The Kefalos beach village has everything you need. Great pool area, located right on a lovely beach and a 5 min walk from the main road. Close enough to the busy high street to be accessable but the actual road the hotel is on is really quite to enable you to relax. It is also within walking distance to many attractions (Market, the Harbour and the tomb of the kings) and has a small supermarket on site in case you need anything (there is also a large Lidl supermarket if you are willing to walk a little further, or get the bus)
The staff are very friendly and helpful with a great Kids club, playground and nightime kids entertainment although as adults we weren't impressed with some of the singers....
Our Thomson rep at the hotel was readily avaliable, he organised car hire and excursions as well as provding useful informtaion on where to eat and what to see. He was also on hand to fix anything that needed it (we were worried that our photos from an excursion would not arrive before we left and he got straight on the phone to the company and arranged for them to be delivered within an hour)
We had 2 studio rooms (right next to each other) and it had all to facilities you could need..... from pots and pans to a hob and microwave. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the quality and variety of the buffet breakfast was very good with enough room for everyone.
We are a couple in our 30's and travelled with our 3 year old and a 66 year old, this trip had something for all of us.
Having stayed at the Kefalos Beach Village several times it is always nice going back as all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for getting about either to go to town or visit Coral Bay. The restaurants in the Tomb of the Kings Road are very good and varied. We liked Coco's, San Marino, The Farmhouse and for a special occasion Fat Mamma's for entertainment and good food.
the hotel exceeded our expectatations.we booked b/b but after two nights upgraded to half board where there is a different theme each night and the food is really good wholly reccomend this option 10 minutes to bars restuarants and shops 30mins to paphos, good sized pool+indoor pool plenty of day&night time activities will defintlly go again
This is our 4th consecutive year here and we love the place. It is expensive compared to other countries we could choose but we feel the extra is well worth it. In life you get what you pay for and we would rather pay a little more and be assured of a great holiday than take a chance on something cheaper.
The Kefalos is situated by the sea and has great facilities, is well maintained and the staff are very friendly. It is close to a variety of bars and restaurants so eating/drinking out in the day/evening gives a good variety. In particular we enjoy eating at Metexas and Martelli, both of which are a 5 minute walk away. Metaxas is a great place. If you want a cheap set meal then this isn't for you. They do great quality food, which does cost that little bit more, but the staff are superb and you are made to feel very welcome. Once you are in the table is yours for the evening if you wish so there's no rushing you out so they can use the table for someone else.
At the Kefalos they do various activities in the day including archery, water polo, water volleyball, beach volleyball and football so if you have the energy and inclination to get involved there's plenty to do.
As you would expect the weather is superb. We normally go early to mid-June and the first week was around 30 degrees but rising to around mid 30's come the middle of the month.
