We had a fantastic holiday in the resort. The best place to go is Carrigages, the Staff Ian and Russel were fantastic.. made you feel at home and were very nice. Nightlife great and weather good in the 90's for that time of year it was excellent!

The hotel was lovely, especially the outdoor areas with little private terraces scattered about. The big pool was wonderful and was a bonus that it was deep enough to swim in. It was also good that there were two other pools aimed at the children which kept them out of the bigger one. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly. There was not a lot of English people staying at this hotel - mainly Spanish & German - but we found this a bonus as you could get on and have a nice relaxing time during the day and then interact more with english people in the evening. Our room was nice and had a nice balcony and a/c. The only downside was mainly the food, we were half board so only had breakfasts and dinners - the breakfasts were really nice but it was the dinner we were disappointed with as there wasn't much choice or much labeling so if you were allergic to something you'd have a job finding out what the food was! But as we ate out mainly in the evening it was really not a problem. Out a little gate at the back of the resort you can access the beach which wasn't a really busy beach so was nice to stroll along, a lot of the locals can be seen surfing etc. Really nice restaurant we found was Little Italy just up the road from the restaurant - found it generally hard to get a nice salad but they did great all round including the Sangria!!

I was very dissapointed with this hotel as it was mainly german dutch and belguim guests and though i am not a racist it meant you couldn't have a chat with other holiday makers. I would say less than 5% british. This was the same on the nearest beach The beach outside the hotel was totally rocky and only used by the surfers. Unfortunately we booked all inclusive and the hotel entertainment was unfriendly to British tourists so had to go elsewhere for nightlife. Also all inclusive are not allowed in a couple of the bars and the waiters tend to ignore you as you do not pay at each meal. The rooms were clean. i must say the first room was extremely noisy

but i had no trouble changing to a quieter one facing inwards. The food was hot and plenty of choice but as with everything in the hotel it was not much fun being surrounded by people you could not understand. In parts the hotel was a little jaded and could do with a refurb. As a base for a holiday it could serve well but for the cost i think you could do alot better.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel in january 2006 very close to the beach and close to all the local pubs. AND I GOT A BOTTLE OF CHAMPANGE FOR MY BIRTHDAY. would return to palmeras.

Plenty of entertaiment in hotel, good pools, easy axcess to beach, we like going to the pubs, going back to watch the shows in hotel.
