review of seaclub (note the review listing does not include seaclub) we stayed at sea club alcudia in sept 2012 and knew beforehand via the website that the rooms were dated in furnishing and condition, however we were worried to find that safety levels were equally dated and in need of bringing up to date to avoid serious accidents occurring to guests. 1 . the bathrooms have no locks on the doors, and water temperature in the morning is un regulated and at a scalding temperature, we had a near miss when our daughter treid to turn on the hot water tap only saved by us pulling her away before the scalding water flowed. Modernisation of the system is required. 2 the bedroom areas have bars on the windows presumably to keep out thieves, but do not allow escape via the window in the event of a fire. In the event of a fire in the livng area kitchen, a family would be trapped within this bedroom area. removal of the bars would prevent this issue. 3 . one of the swimming pools has a very slippy paint finish to the floor an drops in depth irregulary, this was a very slippy surface and caused my wife carrying my daughter to slip and hurt herself, the lifeguard failed to see it, or assist afterwards. protection meaures at swimming pools requires to be improved. my overall advice would be to avoid this hotel until improvements are made. thomson reps are not full time or readily available at this accomodation, and this was also an issue for us trying to get tickets, or discuss these concerns.
