Reluctanly returned after 2 wks at the Marbella on 24th Sept, having found this wonderful hotel last year, there was no way we were going to stay in any other. After a small hitch with our room on arrival when we were given 4th floor accomodation which is unsuitable for my medical condition, however girl at receptiion quickly found us a lovely 2nd floor room which was perfect. Once again our holiday was made brilliant by the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff, nothing being too much trouble for anyone: from cleaning girls to management all were polite and curtious. Many of the waiting staff remembered my husband and I from the previous year and we were on 1st name terms with most of them particularly Ferdi (Freddi) and Errol who were always happy to converse and share the odd joke. The food at the Marbella is always delicious and pleny of choice....from steak or chicken to freshly prepared fish dishes such as salmon and sea bass and the deserts are to die for! Dieters Beware! breakfast is also a great choice: cereals, hot porrage, full English (minus bacon& english sausage) but if you dont mind foregoing these items just for a week or 2 you'll find plenty to tempt those tastebuds, and one of the lovely chefs will always make a fresh omelette to order. The lad who looks after so many guests on the beach gets our vote for the hardest worker. Fairhan works tirelessly from 5am to around 7-8pm keeping everyone happy with food and drinks through the heat of the day, then cleaning every sunbed before stacking them away and ensuring the beach is clean and tidy ready for the next day. The youth of Britain could learn a lot from this young man always happy in his work, and worth the biggest tip!! We have been coming to Marmaris since 2000 and have stayed in many hotels, this one rates as the best we've stayed in and will definately be returning to the Marbella.

The hotel marbella is the very best hotel that we have stayed at. it is located on the beach in a quiet area of Marmaris and yet it is within easy reach of all the facilities which Marmaris has to offer. The cleanliness of the hotel is exemplary and the staff are most helpful. The food is of the highest standard. Also our Thomson Representative, Debbie, who attended at the hotel on a regular basis was most helpful. We booked this holiday through Jacquie Mears, Barnstable, Devon, who provided an excellent and efficient service. We will certainly return to this hotel for what we consider to be a guaranteed relaxing and enjoyable holiday next year.

I was very weary about my first visit to Turkey but there was no need.

It is a lovely country with beautiful scenery friendly people and the Hotel Marbella made our stay memorable.

Thomson rep on hand if needed and we booked our trips with her tempted by a welcome on a free boat trip.

The staff at the Marbella were so friendly and polite. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels and bedding also changed daily.

Food was tastey although not much selection but you could have as much as you wanted(plenty of eggs at breafast!.)

The view freom our room was breathtaking!.The beach just a stride away(watchout the tiny FISH do nip) and the hotel pool was never over crowded.

Although situated near plenty of bars noise was never a problem.

Whilst walking along the front you are hassled for your custom but its all friendly banter dont let it annoy you.

Plenty of boat trips are available which are very enjoyable the coastline is beautiful. You can stop off in one of numerous bays for a refreshing swim and also have a tastey B B Q.

A turkish bath is a must,a great experience and it will help with your tan. Also the mud bath trip to dalyan is worth a visit(what a laugh!.)

A night out at Talk Of tHE Town was fantastic fun (dont need the coach tho its only a 5min walk away.)

More british should visit this hotel, lots of Germans and Russians were there(they are not very friendly at all) the staff like the british more.

Overall a super holiday and will certainly return, prehaps not in august though TOO HOT!! for me anyway.

we stayed at the marbella in july 05,what a great hotel this is, its very clean the staff are great and its right on the beach. it is a bit of a walk to the night life but thats a good thing as you dont get all the noise going on til the early hours.we was upgraded to this hotel as the yunus hotel was cancelled, this was our 5th visit to marmaris and our 1st to the marbella, had it been the hotel when we first visited marmaris i would surely have booked to go there again. the service is spot on and would recommend this hotel to any one. who knows if we cant make up our minds where to go in 06 we will be going back to the marbella
