We stayed at the Mariners Club for two weeks in August and it was just brilliant. We were a group of six including three young children [9,5 and 2] and returned home with no complaints. The staff from manager to maid were friendly and helpful, accommodation was on the small side but clean and tidy. Pool was excellent and had a good size area for younger children and non swimmers. The Kidzone club was great with lots of activities and the staff again were brilliant, very energetic from morning to night! With all facilities, including evening entertainment, on site there is no need to stray too far from the pool but with a lovely beach just a fifteen minute walk away then exploring is possible too. I would definitely return to holiday again at the Mariners.
myself and 2 other friends stayed at mariners club hotel for 2 weeks, 1 day into the holiday we discovered cochroaches in our bathroom, we found at least 5 in the first couple of days untill we found one coming out from underneath the bath and it had to be sealed, we were not the only group to complain about the cochroahches. there was also a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. we had to pay for the air conditioning which we were not pleased about. the only good thing i like about the hotel was the entertainer johnny he was great and he made friends with every1 which i thought was nice of him, he was polite and fun he loved playing with the kids, bingo was also fun with him, he is missed alot. francessca the barmaid was also great she was fun and arranged nights out for some of the guests at the hotel which was great. I found the manager rude and unappreciative of johnny as he done sooo much for the guests, he was very ungreatful. The best part of the holiday was the night time because we didnt spend it in the hotel, the bars were great, the best ones were cheers where u will find dj alan he is great, goodfellas, prince of wales and bells. do not go ments it is rubbish. the excursions were great especially pirates which u can book through thomson and no thrills excursions, with bingo 'he is a person'. we went to magaluf, to bcm great night out. the lazy day cruise wasnt as we thought it would be but was a nice day out, swam in a lagoon with the fish. i would go back to alcudia however i would never stay at mariners, i would stay on the strip 'bellvue'. i miss johnny, dj alan and all the friends we made out there.
just got back from mariners club alcudia, me, my husband and our 10 year old daughter. lovely complex, extremely clean, food excellent, friendly staff and we had very hot weather it was 40degrees most days. plenty of loungers available and although the apartments were all full it was not overcrowded there was plenty of room around the pool. we felt the mariners club was a bit isolated from the main resort of alcudia as it was a good 20-30 minute walk to the beach and to all the nice restaurants but we did walk it one night and had a lovely meal in one of the restaurants which was right on the beach which we all really enjoyed. we would loved to have done that a couple of more times but a bit to far and too hot to walk our daughter but definately worth visiting. night entertainment really good too. well thats all the good points but we did have a couple of bad ones too, we arrived at palma airport and got on the coach which is a 50min journey, we had no thomson rep on our coach and the driver who couldnt speak good english dropped us off round the corner and just pointed to where we had to go it was pitch black as it was midnight and when we arrived there was no thomson rep to greet us so we were left to sort everything out ourselves, the 2 previous places the driver had dropped people off at were greeted by reps so we were very disappointed that we had nobody there for us, also disappointed that you have to pay extra for the air conditioning and the safety deposit box. overall a lovely complex just a bit isolated but we all made the most of it and had a good time. would recommend it
Just arrived back from a week at the Mariners with 2 children 9 and 12. We had a lovely time. Our room was nice and clean however air con is a must as we tried first night without it but couldn't sleep! 35 euros for a week with a 10 euro deposit. Safe in the wardrobe (where every safe that i have had has been) 2.50 euro a day with 5 euro deposit. It is a nice enclosed complex with a very safe feel to it with the kids. Excellent pool. The kids club reps were great and really friendly and my kids loved the mini disco in the evening. Johnny the entertainer was fab with kids during the day and a really friendly guy. The evening entertainment was really good, a tribute to Kool and the Gang, Parrot show, brazilian dancers and a tribute to Lionel Richie which was a really good night and got the crowd going. Bingo every night at 11 which was good for a laugh too. Hotel staff were lovely, Rochelle and Fran in particular at the bar and restaurant. After eating out a few times we found the Mariners restaurant very good value for money and excellent food. We had no bother from any mosquitoes and there was jungle formula plug ins in our apartment. There is a spar up the road however in the opposite direction there is a local supermarket which is cheaper and more choice. There were many excursions however we chose to just go to the Hidropark a short walk up the road which my kids enjoyed a lot. 2 adults and 2 children cost 50 euros or #40 and we got tickets from the rep at the Mariners. Overall we had a really lovely holiday and would return to the Mariners Club. I would definitely recommend these appartments for families who want to have a good time.
We have just returned from Mariners Apartments food was excellent ,pool was great not to deep ,weather was realy hot ,was dissapointed in rooms we had a studio for 3 adults which was 2 sofa beds and a pull out bed not comfortable very small ,rooms could have been doing with a refurbish a bit dated and not very clean ,Sun loungers round pool were very uncomfortable to lie on , Entertainment was not bad , beach was lovely with white sand and we did a day at water park was good but very expensive , will not be returning.
