It was our first stay at the hotel, though we always headed there in the evenings for the excellent dancing (Tony on the organ is fantastic ) and excellent varied selection of entertainment, when holidaying in apartments. That side of the hotel is unbeatable in our experience. I must say that overall we did enjoy our holiday, but rather irritated by a number of shortcomings that definitely need rectifying if they want to receive better reviews. The rooms are small but adequate. I suspect that we probably had one of the better ones on the 6th floor overlooking the pool. The room cleaning service was excellent...when you got it !! I fully appreciate staff shortages, but I would still expect my room to be cleaned every day during the morning. It was often around 4pm before they turned up. A lot of elderly people use this hotel and need to rest in the afternoon, and can't without putting a "Do not disturb" on their door, which means of course that their bedding and towels don't get changed ! On arrival I reported that the hairdrier in our room wasn,t working again 3 days later, finaly it was repaired/replaced after 7 days ! A small point you may think, but when your wife washes her hair every morning, and didn't bring a drier because one is supplied !!?? However, moans aside, the food was very plentiful and varied enough to satify anyones appetite,, pile on a few pounds, and experiment a little. As for the noise from the road and the clubs along the road including the Western Bar next door throughout the night, thats no fault of the hotel...but do not go in June July and August, as it must then be horrendous !! To finish, there is an excellent singer on by the name of Neil Ross. Fantastic ! He sells two of his CD's for ten euro's. Bought them. Got home..They both have the same tracks but different labels !! So if you are listening Neil, could you please send me the CD with "One moment in time" as thats the tracks that are missing and its my favourite.! Would I stay there again ? It has a lot of very good points....but the 24 hour noise !!! Perhaps not.
