Have just returned from Imperial Beach and we had a really fantastic holiday. The food was wonderful - plenty of choice for all tastes with a different theme each night - not good for the dieters! The activities organised by the entertainment team, Brian, Caroline, Lolly Daniella were all good fun and they did a brilliant job. The evening entertainment was good but perhaps a few more outside entertainers would have been better. I felt the in house team were trying to do too much. We had a room with a pool sea View which was fantastic. The rooms were a nice size but the beds were a bit on the hard side. All in all though a really good time was had by all.

I have just returned from a week's holiday in this hotel. This was our second visit, as we holidayed there a year ago. We think the hotel's position is quite superb, the food excellent and the welcome bowl of fruit and the farewell jar of marmalade very thoughtful. The staff are on the whole very friendly. The room itself was very spacious and clean, but we found that the position of our room was rather disappointing. We were located on the second floor above the bar area. The noise of the entertainment went on till 11pm most nights - reasonable, but on several occasions this went on till after midnight. This was followed by much scraping of the chairs across the tiled floors, making sleep before 12.30am impossible. We were then awakened by the scraping of the chairs again at 7.00 am. Rather noisy !! Because of the angle of our balcony it would have been difficult for both of us to have sat out on it. In the bathroom we had tiny ants which marched across the floor all the time - harmless, but always there. The water from the balcony above dripped through a hole in our balcony ceiling on to our balcony floor. I did enjoy the indoor swimming pool - lovely and warm. The grounds are well set out and pleasant to sit in, and so close to the sea. Last year I would have rated our holiday excellent. This year, because of our room's position, I have to rate it good.

As i do not usually enjoy holidays with my family this one made my year!. The hotel itself was excellent NO COMPLAINTS whatsoever!. The Food was at a high quality and loads of selection. The best part of the holiday was meeting the aminations team, Phoenix, Lauren, Daniel and Daniela. They were very friendly and always made everyone laugh. They all had their own tallents and were very confident in their work. The beach was wonderfull the only downpoint was that it was man- made with ground up rocks in it. But skill very nice. Overall well worth the money!

Nice hotel layout, good views, rooms reasonable size and kept clean by good staff (liked the chocs on pillows, nice touch). Some renovation is needed eg. cracked tiles, cracked toilet pan and rust on the ceiling tile supports in the bathroom. Generally you have to ask questions rather than being informed, we did not find the staff particularly 'user friendly'.
Restaurant is buffet style and provides a good selection of well prepared food, evening meals are usually themed. Evening meals start at 18.30 and it is advisable to get there early. Unfortunately the restaurant staff lack 4-star training, the Maitre d'hotel was not in evidence for our two weeks, if there was one.
Another nice touch was the goodby gift of a jar of marmalade the hotel presented on our departure.
We enjoyed our stay here but suggest, apart from the food, there are better 4-star hotels nearby.

A very special hotel. Many guests are on return visits. Set back from the main road with beautiful gardens leading directly to the beach. Food is First Class - if you like champagne breakfasts and 5 course dinners of the highest quality - this is the place for you! The staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and a sea view is a must (we had one even though we didn't book it). The Animation Team kept the children amused with Water Polo, Archery, and their charming sense of humour! The location is excellent. Easy to get to the harbour/town by either bus/taxi/25 min walk, but away from the tourist rabble. Free transfer to the WaterPark which is superb. Holiday overall 100%.
