Just got back from our third trip to the Taurus Park and once again cannot fault the hotel or Thomson in any way. I was a bit apprehensive this time as we've never been in main school holidays before and I thought it might be unbearably manic, but this wasn't the case at all, and no problems getting places in the kids' club, or a table for dinner. You have to be up early (7.30) to get a sunbed of your choice at the new pool, which is absolutely gorgeous by the way, alternatively queue up when the door to the other pool opens at 9ish. If you need just one sunbed there are always a few odd ones available. The hotel as always was spotlessly clean and the food lovely with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Staff are lovely and generally very friendly and helpful. This hotel seems quite a bit cheaper than other Superfamily hotels which is another big plus point, as honestly if you've got a young family you couldn't ask for better than this. Short flight, short transfer, kids' clubs, great food and pools, good entertainment, say no more! Roll on visit number 4 next year!

Weve just returned from two weeks at Taurus Park and would recommend to anyone with families. The entertainment was non-stop but not too in your face. Thomson reps and hotel staff were both equally helpful and we experienced no problems. The restaurant food was plentiful and we ate way too much ! Plenty of traditional dishes and also a vegetarian section and a separate counter for kids with the usual chicken nuggets etc. Too many desserts to choose but plenty of fruit and yoghurt to make you feel a little less naughty. All in all great value for money and we will definitely visit again. Rooms were a good size. They were basic but extremely clean as were all the communal areas. There wasnt much to do outside of the hotel if you had kids but mine wasnt keen on leaving the hotel as there was so much to do. The beach opposite the hotel was lovely although shingely which was a bit tough on the toes. My only complaint was the smelly street right next to the hotel (although this was not hotel property) which was often covered in dog mess.

Me, my husband and two children aged 9 and 3 have just come home from two weeks at the Taurus Park Hotel, Pineda. When we arrived we discovered that the hotel only lets you check in after 1pm so many people were hanging about the reception with cases until check in. We had a family suite which was basic but the storage space was good. The bedroom floors were dirty and we had to wipe the cupboards before we put our clothes in. We had a look around the hotel and it was lovely and clean and the hotel staff were great. The big problem was the we felt that the area was too remote. There was a sea front but hardly any bars or restaurants for variety which makes you stay in the hotel. Calella, (20 mins walk) was a lot busier and had a sense of atmosphere about it with plenty bars, shops and restaurants. The children's reps and entertainment reps were brilliant and had loads of energy and fantastic ideas for keeping everyone entertained. Mini discos were good for children up to the age of 7 or 8. Children over that age were not catered for. The Thomson reps' knowledge of the local area was very poor and quite often they gave out the wrong information to guests. The pool areas were great and were kept spotless. Overall, we did enjoy the holiday but felt that what we paid was far too much for this location as there was not much to see or do outside of the hotel, which made it feel like a holiday camp.

Well, me and my family (husband, 2 daughters - 13yrs 14yrs) went on our first allocation on arrival holiday!!!! I was very dubious to say the least! especially as we had the girls with us. We got to the airport after our 2hour flight and found the thompson rep who pointed us in the direction of our transfer coach. It took us around 45 minutes in a coach that had no air conditioning and it was very hot!!!!! I was not happy and was thinking is this the start of things to come.......when we arrived at the Taurus i was very pleasently surprised. It was fantastic!!! The reception area was huge with marble floor and surfaces. The only problem was we could not check in until 1pm, we arrived at about 11am. So we decided to go and have a look round. There was an indoor pool with juccuzi, computers with internet access, games machines 4 outdoor pools and one had a jucuzzi in the middle and jucuzzi bubbles round the sides it was amazing. When we were able to check into our rooms i was a little worried as this was the first time the girls had a room of their own however when we got to the rooms they were right next door and had an interjoining door which the maids unlocked for us. So we me n hubby had our privacy but could open the door to go into the girls and visa versa. The rooms were fantastic extremely clean with a double bed and single bed in each, shower, bath, bede, toilet, hairdryer and complimentory toiletries. We had a tv in each room with satalite channels and even BBC 1 and ITV (I was able to keep up with eastenders and coro!!) The rooms were also non smoking, but you could smoke out on the balcony if you wished. Downstairs the evening entertainment was fine. I was very impressed that the entertainment room was very big and non smoking!!!! But if you smoked you were able to sit outside under a covered bit and smoke or go to another room which had a guy playing the piano (which was good) and smoke in there. The food was nice and there was a variety and it was all about trying different things. The beach was on the doorstep and was beautiful!!! When i say doorstep literally 2mins away! The staff were very friendly and there was also the Thompson kids club and also activities done by the hotel staff. We didn't do any excursions as we had done them all before. Overall this was a fantastic holiday and we would go back again. It was extremely fantastic as it was allocation on arrival as well!!!!!!
