On second day in this hotel cash was stolen from our room with no sign of forced entry. Our neighbours had valuables taken in addition to money. A good afternoons work for the theif/theives!!!!!!! Made the mistake of being too trusting and keeping things in locked suitcase as didn't take too much case as AI. Still you learn by your mistakes. Hotel and Thomson no support or interest. Thank goodness kind holidaymakers gave us cash to go by bus to town to make police report. Many thanks to them but no thanks to hotel nor Thomson. Still here as two weeks booked but sorry can't find enthusiasm to say anything nice at this time.

This hotel is in a beautiful resort, it's a fantastic, unique hotel in the way it is built into the cliff. Every member of staff we met was extremely friendly, happy and helpful, from the receptionist to the cleaners. The hotel is spotless and our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food in the hotel was excellent with different choices every day, there was something for everyone, even our fussy kids were happy. The pool, although a little small for the size of the hotel was clean and we had no problem getting sun beds. There was entertainment provided through the day for kids down at the beach club although mine did not make use of much of it due to wanting to be in the pool. Varied night time entertainment held at the beach club which we were quite happy to watch from the terrace at the hotel. I have to say at this point the beach club did not look to us at all impressive, it was crowded and the entertainment area and western saloon where snacks like burger and chips were served was dirty and strewn with litter. The beach was lovely and cleaned every day, it was safe for kids and guests of the hotel have free use of the canoes. Pedaloes and other small boats could be hired. Generally we had no problem with the lifts but they were busy at meal times so we left them for those who really did need them. If you are looking for a totally away from it all break in an un commercialised setting then i would definately recommend this hotel and resort. Guests can also use facilities at the neighbouring Hotel Galleon if they fancy a change of scenery, we had a walk to it and it looked very nice, although a bit too quiet for the kids. We did go on a trip to the hippy market and waterpark which was a bit of a let down, the market was so crowded you could not really stop and look at goods without someone tutting and pushing as you were in the way. The waterpark was nice but very small and we only got 2 hours there, making it poor value for money. We wouldn't hesitate in returning to the San Miguel Hotel, but cetainly wouldn't stay at the beach club

When myself and partner toddler and baby arrived to find our room we very very disappointed my baby cot was at bottom of dbl bed and my sons single bed was only divided from us by a bedside locker, had climb over dbl bed to gain access to toilet.

Food was reasonable, a lot of effort put in by staff but quite repetitive.

Entertainment for whole family was enjoyable.

Easy to access local shops and beach

Lots jellyfish and lizards

All in all good family resort although where pos avoid the lifts

Just returned from 11 days in San Miguel.. Stunning quiet resort.. We stayed at the san miguel hotel which i must say is a big hotel which joins on to the other two hotels either side. great location, thomsons reps very helpful and were always on site.. Hotel itself was very out of date, tired looking they desperatly need a refurb.. Showers leeked all over bath room floor.. Staff at the hotel are lovely and very friendly.. We hired a car for 3 days which was a great way to see the island.. Will not go back to this hotel as some of the people there do not keep ther children under control....But loved Ibiza and Thomsons were again fantasctic...

we have just arrived back from ibiza on the 26th june, i stayed in the hotel with my 3 year old daughter my parents in there 50's and myself and my husband in our 30's i am very fussy about holidays and after reading some reviews i was dreading it,the lifts were slow and you had to be quick, we were on the 6th floor so we were ok for dinner but took a while to go to the pool this is my only complaint. we found the hotel the staff to be amazing, the rooms were clean and the food was good we all enjoyed our meals we were told the food wasnt very good at the beach club,if you want a sun bed by the pools get up early and put your towels down, we didnt and ended up on the beach, that wasnt a bad thing it was 4 euros for 2 beds and a umbrella so it wasnt bad, the sea and beach are all well located to the hotel and we took food and drink on there from the westen bar, we took a day trip on the pirate ship which we all loved this is for the little ones as they do games and face painting ect.. but myself and hubby really enjoyed it as you get too see alot, we even saw a dolphin, the entertainment was just brilliant the kids reps were amazin at night loopy lee and the crew had us giggling we didnt put our daughter in the kids clubs but everyone said how good they were, but zoro the adults entertainer was just brilliant i havent laughed so much in years, with out a doubt would go back again it was a brilliant family holiday.
