Booked the holiday before reading the reviews so I was a little nervous as we were going for my 40th birthday and taking family and friends. I should never have worried, we had a fab time. The food was great, lots of selection and very fresh. The pools were lovely and clean and all of the staff were friendly and made my birthday really special, they even sang happy birthday whilst bringing a birthday cake and reserved a lovely table for our party. The cocktails are included and the staff made special ones for the smaller children. The beach is fantastic for snorkeling and swimming lots of fish close by and they love to be fed popcorn from the lower floor bar. We went for one week and the ages ranged from 49 to 15 and there was something to do for everyone of us. We stayed in the hotel part which looked better than some of the rooms in the beach club. On the down side the air conditioner was really loud but other than that i can't fault this holiday at the price we paid. I would go again in a heart beat as would our friends and my 22 year old son and girl friend. It was great!!
Our second visit here with our family of 6 comprising Grandparents, Parents and children of 8 and 6. We were a little bit worried before we went after reading all of the reviews but we have had another fabulous holiday. The reps are great, the entertainers Claire and Lee were fantastic, and the Animation team - Zorro, Chris, Olly and Eva were outstanding. The resort is perfect if you have young children - very safe for them to be given a little bit of independence. All amenities are close by - great swimming pools, lovely beach with free watersports if all inclusive, drinks and snack bar - what more could you ask for? The food in the restaurants is always of a very high standard - something for everyone we felt. The bedrooms are quite basic, but we had everything that we needed - and always spotlessly clean. I know you cannot please everyone all of the time but not sure if the other review writers were actually at our hotel or just continual moaners!!!!! We will definitely be booking up again for next year!!!
returned from this hotel and sad to say that 7 days was far too long. We had a definate holiday from hell. Took our two children 7 yrs and 8 months. Badly organised kids clubs, didn't have a clue where they were held, couldn't get round the pool with a small buggy, that's even if u could make it to the pool as there is lifts and steps everywhere. The food was very poor, and brochure said that baby food was available, it wasn't, and there is no way we could give baby food from the resturant as most veg was deep fried in batter!!!....At first, the room seemed ok, but we soon saw that they had painted over damp, balcony door frame came away from the wall, great security!, couldn't bathe the baby in the bath as it had splintered paint over it, air conditioning a joke. Supposed to be a mothercare cot, yeah right, it had bolts sticking out the sides, into the cot. Great new lcd tv and leaflet said loads of english channels, there was one, sky news and that was it......could go on and on but i'm so gutted that we waited all year and just looked forward to coming home.
I have just come back from holiday and I had realy good time & made some good friends I would not go back just as it is not a place for young people not a lot of pubs, but over was very good, the entainment realy enjoyabul, he was the only one on the team that was in the shows with others on the night time.
After reading some of the reviews I was going away expecting the worst where I found that the hotel was amazing the staff were all friendly and lee did a fantastic job as he was left being the only entertainer in the Thomson team. We had an amazing time even though it was for only a week everything was beyond our expectations. Yes the lifts were a little predictable at times but the only problem was the outside lift between the beach club and the hotel which we never used anyway but there were families with push chairs etc who did have to carry them. the only disappointment and what I wouldn?t recommend is the boat trip to san Antonio where you get this on the jetty at the beach as it was really choppy the water and they stated that if weather was bad a bus would be put on and this was not the case everyone was sea sick including my partner so that spoilt the day its cheaper and takes less time to get the bus. Holiday overall was value for money and is a fab place to take kids. also I was expecting to have to fight for sunbeds and this is not the case I went down early one day and by 10 there was still beds so u will be guaranteed a bed unless u sleep all holiday but I would highly recommend the hotel .
