Our first holiday abroad for 20 years and we could not fault it. The food was excellent, the hotel spotless, the staff very friendly (especially if you learn a bit of the lingo ie "dos cuerveza por favor y uno pino tinto muchas gracias" and the location was faultless. The entertainments staff were excellent, friendly and a good laugh (thanks Zorro, Eva, Robbie and Dries) and we really enjoyed taking part.The people holidaying at the time were friendly (after the first few days and getting rid of that British reserve) and overall we loved the whole atmosphere of the place. Have read other reviews and cannot believe that people found fault, so what if there are only two lifts, you've got legs hav'nt you and a bit of exercise is what we all need to be doing these days. Overall excellent, as a holiday is what you make of it, and we will be going again next year. Many thanks to everyone there.
This hotel is a must for a relaxing sunshine break. I would def return!
We booked this last minute for w/c 22nd Oct 2012. We were hugely surprised by the hotel location, views were to die for, food was a great selection, entertainment was great (very good for young families), weather was around 23 degrees daily. I would recommend this hotel for everyone who needs some R&R. Buses to both San Antonio and Ibiz are available outside the hotel front, and it is a minute walk to the beach.
The location was perfect, there was so much to do, we went to the caves near by and the views of the cove are amazing! I would love to go back and have been recommending it to friends. We had access to many facilities, we loved sitting in the Westen Salloon bar, drinking the Spanish Fresquito's, with beautiful views of the beach. All the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious! There was lots of variety and they catered for everyone. I couldnt help but go up for seconds, lol. We also loved being able to get a steak, cooked to our preference! The facilities were very clean and the maids worked hard every day. I really can not fault anything, it beat any expectations we ever had.
We came back from our holiday on 8th September 2012. Everything was "ok" sort of. The food wasn't particularly great. Breakfast was a godsend - at least it was standard and acceptable. Most of the other choices were a bit poor. The chinese buffet left a lot to be desired - hygiene standards underneath the hot servery were grim. Having read other reviews and been on other Thomson/First Choice holidays of the same standard/cost i'm sort of feeling that we went on holiday in a parallel universe compared to some other guests. On chatting was told by many that they were back there for the 20th time etc. Compared to our last two holidays in Ibiza in other resorts in the last two years this hotel did not match up or compare. The pool area was great, our five year old loved it. I cannot fault the kids club and the thomson's reps who worked there - they were tremendous. Superb! I think the hotel and resort relies heavily on it's location and that, has to be said, is stunning. The beach is excellent. The Balanzat restaurant (fish and seafood speciality) is a must visit - you get superb quality but pay for it. I don't get the we will go back ethos - entertainment was below average, snack bar was ok for day long food but there was an incredible foul stench right outside it which was nauseating. We ended up going out for food, buying our own etc. Even bought our own booze at times as the draft lager and spirits were poorer than we'd experienced in other resorts in previous years. The pool and beach were our saving grace. Excellent pool for little ones. Beach was beautiful. Luckily we always travel with cash in case food etc not good as part of all inclusive. We still loved the resort views/weather and made our own entertainment. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend and i wouldn't go back to this hotel resort. Don't quite understand why so many people say they've been so often and go back so regularly!
