we had a lovely 11 nights here. Couldn t have asked for more. We have been to Marmaris at least once a year for the last 14yrs and only wish we tried here sooner. The 2 star rating put us off in the past but it is easily a turkisk 3 star in our opinion. The only thing they could improve on is to change the towels more often. We loved it. Can t wait to book up and return.

When we first arrived we were not happy with the accomodation but the hotel moved us to a larger apartment after two days and the apartment was fabulous!! Just want to say that we had a fabulous holiday and we would seriously consider going back next year!!!

We stayed in the Tekin Apartments both the living area & the bedrooms are large & comfy. Beds are on the hard side, but overall good value. We ate at the apartment owner Papillion restaurant a couple of times, but would recommend both, Andy's & Nostalgia restaurants for a better variety of meals, & friendlyness. About 50 sunbeds around the pool area, but only 4 sun brolly's you can use, would recommend the beach area for sun cover, as it was in the late 30s temperature. Staff at the 60s70s80s Bar next door to Mehtap Hotel, will look after you if you use there beach. Cheap as chips for snacks.

Cannot understand how Tekin gets such a good rating on Tripadvisor, it is at most good to average, ok its in an excellent location but so 30-40 other hotels in the area. As for self catering it is lacking if you want to do any catering , just a 2 ring table top cooker and a toaster, no oven or microwave. The room was clean but shabby, by that I mean gaps between door frames and wall, a hole in the bed headboard to access a light switch, 1 powerpoint in main room/kitchen. Pool was small, especially when hotel packed with kids and the lift is only big enough for 3 people or 2 with cases. Staff are friendly but having to go to reception to ask for toilet roll is degrading. The restaurant is ok but and cheap but far better food on front especially Romance diner. The staff there are very freindly, one was too touchy feely with wife had to warn him, There is a small supermarket opposite called Natalees, wich is open 24 hours and is cheap, sells genuine cigs and all you could need. Marmaris front is changing, the mayor seems hell bent on closing as many front pubs down as possible, many have gone and stand derelict and scruffy other are struggling because of the no entertainment policy and music stopping at midnight. There is no free shows at all on the front now. All the money seems to have spent transforming the marina area wich is beautiful with fountains and artwork and the restaurants and bars there are booming but more expensive. We have been many times in recent years but wont be back for few years and then I would check on reviews before booking to see what change the mayor has made. The shopping is still hassle but you learn how to "politely" ignore them or if you want something be prepared to barter otherwise you will pay much too much, look for shops with prices displayed and watch for underhand tactics by sellers such as fiddling exchange rate or putting different items in bag to what you picked out... What was the best holiday destination is no more.
