We first visited this Hotel in 1989, it was very old fashioned, then Protours bought it, & with Thomsons help, made it what it is today ( FABULOUS )!! We did not think it could be improved, but when we arrived we found a new terrace and sun deck area with another hot tub outside! There is one inside with the indoor pool. The hotel also has an outdoor pool surrounded by beautiful gardens and lots of sun beds!!!! The rooms are big very clean, most with sea views included in price! staff are very helpful pleasant and curtious. The dinning room is big/airy & light with terrace dinning available, the food is excellent lots of choice, & carvery/show cooking each night. The posh restaurant " Al MAR" included 1 night meal is just fabulous! Entertainment is just fantastic, there is only 1 entertainment staff & he "CHRIS" works very hard to please everyone! Every member of staff at this hotel is very hard working, polite and will help in anyway they can! The cleanliness is excellent, we think this hotel takes a lot of beating, value for money is great, we have some friends going to the HOTEL ATALON on 2/6/13 they are going to be so jealous & upset when they see the ALICIA ! They will wish they were staying at the ALICIA! We have just come home from this hotel on Tuesday 28/06/13 after having the most wonderful holiday and we will be booking again for next year 2014 just as soon as the book is out !!! Cala Bona is a lovely resort, very flat pedestrianized promenade. No night clubs all music stops at midnight, just great for families and older people alike. You can walk or get the bus/train to Cala Millor, which has loads of shops and a bigger beach than Cala Bona, but the thing that Cala Bona has over cala Millor is the lovely Harbour, with all the bars cafes & restaurants, by the harbour, there are also plenty of shops in & around the harbour. All in all you can have a fantastic holiday in Cala Bona. We recommended it to some people we met on holiday in England last year, & when we got there to the Alicia, they were there! They had taken our advice & booked, they told us they were so grateful & could not thank us enough for the recommendation, they are booking again for next year. That says it all I think, so please try it yourself and write your review when you come home! Here's to the next fabulous holiday at The Hotel Alicia in cala Bona Majorca... Mrs Lynn Dodds.

Brilliant hotel and location, especially for older people as the Promenade is level and suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and cyclists alike. Cala Bona harbour and Callor Millor beaches are easily accessible and very nice. Plenty of the usual shops and restaurants at both places. The hotel is comfortable, very clean, with good entertainment. Chris the hotel 'animator' is exceptional. We joined in activities for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience thanks to the way Chris handles each activity. He is also an excellent singer and entertainer. The activities give you the opportunity to get to know others staying at the hotel so it is well worth it. The hotel restaurant is a bit crowded. The reason I think is because the people entering and leaving have to pass the food areas thus making a lot of congestion and is potentially a dangerous situation as people are carrying hot items. The food counters should be round the corner in the annex part of the restaurant. We tried Stanley Tearooms for lunch after seeing good reviews but we were disappointed. We ordered a baguette and received only a half-baguette. Full baguettes elsewhere for the same money. Our change arrived after paying the bill and we found it was short by two euros. We were not impressed. Good sandwich shops in Cala Bona. We were not very impressed by Palma Airport either. Access to plane was by bus and there was loads of other traffic moving about - looks chaotic.
