I went with my family in August 2011. I was 15 when I went and it was the perfect holiday. My brother who was aged 10 never had a boring day either. Rooms were basic but comfortable and we only used the room for sleeping and getting changed. Pool is a perfect size and the bar is great with nice food and reasonable prices. Location is brilliant with the beach being just a 10 minute walk around the corner and the Kalamaki main strip being a 2 minute walk. Breakfast is a basic buffet but very tasty and something for everyone. New towels each day and rooms being cleaned all the time. Overall it is a great hotel. I met some great friends which made the holiday even better and I would definitely go back when I get older!! Perfect for any type of holiday :)

Stayed here with my mum for 7 nights, the hotel staff where friendly and helpful. The room was basic but comfy. Kettle was supplied on request and linen changed regularly. The breakfast was pretty much the same every morning, but good food and some variation. The resort reps where also very friendly and helpful nothing too much for them always had time for a chat, even the kids reps and we had no kids with us. We hired a car and had a drive round the island, going to Zante town (very busy) even in October. Laganas which was pretty much closed down for the season as very 18-30ish. Tsilvi was also very nice. All locals very friendly. The restaurant we headed for the most was The Olive Tree, excellent food, excellent service and good alrounder.

My family recently visited Zante in september, flight staff where very helpful and freindly. on arrival at the hotel exotica i was extremly shocked by the size of the tiny room we had been given. The double bed was very small and bunk bed style for my 2 year old child was not ideal from a safety aspect, with them having stairs on them. although the room was clean it lacked in space, toilet facilties where also poor. Having paid over 1000 pounds for my holiday and being in a 3 star hotel i would have expected air conditioning to be included in the price this made my holiday very uncomfortable. the room provided nothing it was so basic not to a hotel standard. The food at the hotel was limited and uneadible i tried it once and it was discusting. i found hotel staff quite rude. on the day of arrival i was told that i would have to be out of my room for 10am on the sunday although my flight wasnt until 5am monday morning, this is shocking we only really recieved 6 nites stay at the hotel. we where offered the room at the price of 30 euros, i declined as i feel this should have been part of the package. The hotel staff seemed to be rude when i declined the offer. apart from the hotel we all managed to enjoy our stay in zante although i would not be recommending hotel exotica to anyone.

Very nice and friendly hotel, maybe a little updating to the rooms wouldn't go amiss but pleasant enough. The breakfast was very good for Greece standards, sitting in or out the choice is yours. Kept very clean and the staff are very pleasant and will talk to you. Jade the Thomson rep is a very nice young lady and there most mornings. This was our 10th visit to Kalamaki in 12 years. we have never stayed at the same accommodation twice but will say this is one of the best. I would recommend this hotel and will be using it again.

We stayed at the Hotel Exotica for 11 nights in September. The Hotel was lovely, nice and quiet even though it was just a couple of minutes from the centre of the main strip so a great location. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent and cheap. The rooms were extremely clean. The resort of Kalamaki is relatively small but has everything you need and perfect for couples. Laganas is only a short taxi ride away if you want a busier resort but we only went there twice as we wanted a holiday for the rest! The Thomsom rep (Jade) was brilliant, such a lovely lady and so helpful (she advised my partner on where he could propose to me!). Did the smugglers Cove excursion which is a must for all visitors to Zante but I would have preffered a bigger boat and a more relaxing boat trip there! The TUI Hellas tour guide (English guy who has lived in Zante for some years) was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the island and spent the whole coach trip to and from the boat relaying all kinds of information regarding the history and geography of the island - we were most impressed and grateful to learn about the island while we were there. A number of restaurants were visited more than once as they were lovely and the staff were so friendly - Buon Amici, Milos, Amertis. The singer in the Irish pub was fantastic and good fun, he got a good atmoshere going every night with people young and old. We usually ended up at The Venue karaoke/DJ bar when we wanted a later night which was fun and agian, very friendly staff. Overall, I can't fault the the place for a nice couples holiday which you can make as peaceful or busy as you wish.
