My favourite hotel in Greece, lovely staff all of them. Great food at the hotel.Excellent BBQ on wednesdays,all cooked by the manager Nic (nice touch), plus excellent entertainment live music with richie valadez from the soul detectives. Great restaurants all around within a 10 minute walk,excellent sports bar the iguana, across the road. Lovely beach, child friendly, shallow water. Zakynthos town is beautiful and well worth a couple of visits. All in all a holiday to suit anybody no matter what age.

After our third visit to the Venus Hotel , Kalamaki we loved it just as much as our previous visits. Staff, rooms, food, location all excellent. A great place to visit if you just want to totally switch off and relax.

Hotel Venus is family run and is 3* on paper but offers 5* everything else. Fantastic staff, spotless Hotel + great food and drink. We had a great time on b b rates which was ideal to let you eat at the many excellent restaurants Kalamaki offers. Escape was our favourite. Handily placed across the road from the Venus. Maria the owner is a Star!! If I had to be picky on anything this Hotel offers it would be to say that the pool area could do with being bigger. To be honest we were there in peak season and the Hotel was full!! This says a lot about the Hotels popularity. Would return tomorrow,loved it!!

Just returned from a weeks stay at The Venus Hotel. Overall, it's a good quality, clean and friendly hotel. The room as you would expect in Greece, was a little basic, but the bed and pillows were very comfy. The bathroom was a little bit small - we had to shut the door fully just to get to the toilet. There was a bath as well as a shower, and the water was always hot. There was a kettle supplied in the room, but the fridge was on the small side. We could only fit a bottle of water, bottle of wine and a couple of cans of beer/fizzy pop in. You would certainly struggle to keep any food in it, but it did it's job for the week we were there. The breakfast was what you would expect, and if you wanted fried eggs or omelette's you only had to ask. The food they served from the pool bar was of good quality, the usual stuff of chips, burgers, salads etc; it was always popular. We did not eat in the hotel for any evening meals, as there are plenty of choices of restuarants in Kalamaki. Our favourites were Buon Amici (Italian), Ambrosia (Greek-Mexican) and Michaeleos. You could eat in a different restaurant everynight if you wished. Well worth hiring a car to tour the rest of the island, there are some lovely beaches,coves and some stunning views to be had. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but too many returning guests for our likeing. I think most of them spent the whole 1 or 2 weeks of their stay around the pool on the same beds. We would definately return to Zante in the future.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Lovely staff who made us very welcome. Easily the best place that we have stayed in Greece and other countries.
