Firstly Sorrento is great and it is very easy to get to the great sights of Pompeii and Herculaneum. However the Hotel Conca Park is average. It is advertised as four stars but it is much more like two to three. The room we had was a little run down and the shower was poor. The food in the Hotel can only be described as ok, amazing food can be found in local restaurants near-by.

We stayed here for a week with my dad and his partner and my 5 month old daughter. Lovely hotel - friendly staff-very clean-large room with big balcony. Few small issues.... We had to pay to use the travel cot that the hotel provided-this was over 100 for a week!! I was shocked-luckily we had taken a travel cot - I think it's disgusting to be honest-it should be free!! Air con doesn't get turned on till June-one night our room was 29 degrees-our poor daughter was very uncomfortable. Apart from this we were happy with the room-food-staff ect and would stay again. Just think these few points should be thought about. Jess, Tom & Lily

We had a great week in Italy. Sorrento was an excellent base for exploring Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius - all an easy and economical journey by train. The bus ride to Amalfi was very scenic too. Hotel Conca Park is elegant and comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, as were all the waiters and other staff. The location was excellent, a short walk into the centre of town and the train and bus station. There's plenty to see and do in Sorrento itself, and if you have time you could easily visit Capri by boat or Naples by train. I'd recommend this location and Hotel Conca Park to anyone wishing to visit the Roman ruins.

The Conca Park was a very friendly, well appointed hotel within easy walking distance of the very centre of Sorrento. The hotel staff were very friendly, the food excellent & the hotel room was well appointed & extremely clean. The swimming pool was beautiful,although somewhat cold in April ! It was lovely to have a fridge & balcony. The views of Vesuvius were breath-taking by day & night. The only thing that could have improved our stay was a kettle & cups in the room for making tea & coffee. On the strength of our stay we are booking the same hotel for two weeks in July next year.
