We travelled out to Goa in Feb to get married which we did on Candolim beach, the hotel staff were very helpful and went out of their ways to make us feel welcome, the food was varied always good quality though and as you can eat in the sister hotel the Horizon, it is nice for a change of scenery. The taxis are only up the drive way and very cheap. We cant wait to go back next year for our 1st anniversary. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!

Clean but basic rooms. Excellent location, quiet yet central. Varied menu for all tastes and everything is cooked to perfection. Staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. Nearby beach is busy but there are quieter beaches a very cheap taxi ride away.

This was a fantastic holiday enjoyed by us all.
We were slightly wary at first when the coach dropped us at the main road ad we had to cross and get to the hotel with help of the staff. It was dark on our arrival, we went straight for dinner. The next morning we were upset with our room, it was very dark & damp BUT the staff changed rooms eventually.
The rooms are basic but v clean.
The food is fantastic Indian, Chinese & Thai as well as burgers & chips etc, which kept our youngest child happy.
The staff can't do enough to help, changing our rooms, bringing thicker mattresses for sofa beds etc.
They know your name upon arrival and never forget.
Don't have beauty treatments in England before the holiday. Waxing, massage, pedicures etc as appx 1/5 of the price at the hotel & Carmen the beautician is fantastic - she never stops talking!!
The walk to the beach, although near, takes ages as the shopkeepers enroute won't leave you alone.
Go on the waterfall trip, it's fantastic BUT does take 3 hours in a coach not 1 hour as stated by the rep. Then you have a 40 minute jeep drive which is fun, followed by a 10 minute trek. You feed the monkeys, swim at the bottom of the waterfall and ride & feed an elephant, a must for kids.
Also Coco beach is nice. Get a cab to take you there. Your diver waits for you all day - think it cost appx 400 rupees £5.30. Once there we had a boat trip where we saw dolphins galore, a palace and a prison!
On every beach there are lots of shacks. When you arrive they give you a sunbed, parasol and towels. In turn you buy your drinks & food there - it's so cheap - never more than £20 a day - and there were 6 of us!
The Saturday Night market is fantastic - like a huge Accessorize. They sell saris, shoes, bangles, wall hangings, kaftans & it's so cheap. Always haggle, usually got everything for 1/2 price or less.
Medicine is also cheap out there. many people bought Ventolin, prescription glasses and had dental work including teeth whitening, it's so cheap.
The only bed thing about our holiday was the Thompson rep - could never find him!!
We never usually go back to a country - BUT we will return one day.
