We had an inclusive holiday at the Taurito Pricess. The hotel was poor, it needed a total refurbishment. Holes in bed sheets, no chrome left on bathroom fittings, food canteen like, tea, coffee, white wine undrinkable. We felt trapped at Taurito as roads out were steep, with sheer drops to the sea in both directions and were too dangerous to contemplate walking in either direction. The holiday details should have made the position of the hotel clear. We would not have chosen to stay there if we had known. There was a local bus or taxi to to get out but the roads on the very edge of the cliffs made it not relaxing! Glad to be home!
Lovely hotel, very clean with a good choice of food. Found all staff to be helpful, efficient and very professional. Room very comfortable. On the down side - the lifts - had to wait up to 15 minutes sometimes, whether there are not enough or the way they are programmed no idea!. Also a little tired in places, the tile grouting and bath showed signs of wear in room; as were some of floor tiles in public areas, and rust on lamp shades, but we understand the hotel is due for a refurb, which it deserves because of its location and quality of staff. Sadly the beach had been washed away in storms the previous week making the shore line unaccessible, I assume the sand will be replaced.
Just left a review on tripadvisor so just want to say that considering we knew that the hotel was being updated in May!/June we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The accommodation although a little dated was clean, comfortable and the whole all inclusive deal an new experience for us and we're converted! The staff were welcoming and helpful as was Becky our Thomson rep. The hotel has a daily courtesy bus at 9.25 each morning to Puerto de Mogan which is the lovely fishing village 10 minutes around the coast and local buses are regular, reliable and reasonably priced. So all in all the holiday was a great experience and we look forward to booking with Thomsons again
