DON'T STAY HERE! it was horrible - i was so upset - hotel was terrible the rooms were so basic and bare - we had a grill in bathroom that you could see through into room next door - i had to cover when i was in bathroom as they could see into ours also. - food awful absolutley disgusting and inedible. as others said in their reviews its completely true - it has really put me off going all inclusive again - we were treated terribly by the staff - they also had people there on half board who were allowed glasses for their drinks - but when we asked for a glass for my husbands lager one night they said no! he said - you all inclusive you get plastic cups only! they were not nice to the kids either - had no time for them whatsoever cleaners where lovely - they where about the only ones in the whole place - entertainment was ridiculous - they thankfully had a couple of entertainers come in over the week The Blue Brothers were really good and were great with the kids after their show - but to anyone reading this and thinking about taking a holiday here please take my advise and DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL thomsons - you really need to do something about this hotel - worst place ever! i find it hard to believe you find it suitable. whoever you sent before to review it - i recommend you send someone else.
We have just returned from a week half-board holiday at Clumbamar. The position of the hotel is great - just a minute away from most facilities but the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. The reception staff could barely raise a smile or hello and the restaurant staff just took you to a table pointed at it and walked away - not one of them attempted to speak to you. However it was the room that really spoiled our holiday. firstly they are extremely basic - there are no tea/coffee making facilities (even to hire), only one chair and not even a hairdryer . Secondly, the walls are so thin that you can hear people not only in the adjoining room but across the corridor! It was impossible to get to sleep before midnight or sleep after 7am. There is no double glazing and as we were unlucky enough to be near the road (which applies to 3 sides of the hotel), we had the joy of hearing the dustbin lorries collecting the rubbish nearly every morning. The bathrooms are separated by a partition that is so thin you can hear what is going on next door! The food was dire - breakfast was just about passable but the meals in the evening were awful - usually chicken or ribs with frozen, mushy vegetables all mixed together and lukewarm. We were charged #1.80 each for a small glass of watered down & tasteless fruit juice with our evening meal! Not once did we get hot food. We ate there for 3 nights then spent extra money going outside the hotel for some decent meals. We enjoyed the holiday when we were out of the hotel! The area itself is nice with plenty of bars and shops but while we were there it was very windy for 4 days so you could not go out without a jacket or cardigan. We went to a couple of shows - Son Amar and Pirates Adventures, both were excellent but the Son Amar show was really good value - excellent entertainment for over 3 hours with food and drink included - the only downside was that you had to go to Palma to see it which meant a couple of hours on a coach. We are not fussy eaters and don't usually like to complain but this hotel should really be avoided - it is by far the worse we have ever stayed in.
Stayed at the clumba mar for 1 week with my partner on half board basis. our stay was not as good as we hoped it to be, The weather did not help as it rained 5 days out of 7. but even if it was sunny we still would of been let down. Rooms were basic, but had one big bonus which got us through the rainy days, a 19inch flat screen which had itv1,itv2 and bbc1, and for the younger ones had cbbcs. Walls are very very thin, i could not sleep most nights due to the drunk couple next due arguing every nite which you could hear every word they said, and then them making up in the morning (if you know what i mean). and if we was not woken up by them we were woken by the maids hoovering outside your door at stupid o'clock. be careful of the door out the balcony, when you shut it, it sounds like its going to smash as the glass is so thin. beds are comfy, but when you reveal the sheets of the bed the matteress are in a right old state, torn and dirty. Food - in all the hotels i have been to, this is the worse for food, Breakfasts are ok, the fried breakfasts are nice, but cold and the same every day. the jucies are awful, but the hot chocolate is nice. if you want cereal they have 3 kinds but the milk is uht carton milk, which was a put off for us. the evening meals were not fantastic, kids meals were awful, everyday they had all fried food including, chicken nuggets, fish finger... all sounds nice if you like them cremated. the adult food was bad quality. we are not by far fussy eaters but, we stuck to chips buttys all week as like i said was bad quality and cold. The staff in the dinning room were ok, they alays smiled when they showed us to our tables, and when we finshed our plates was quick to clear them. Activites staff - we only saw them once throughout our holiday trying to offer activites, walikng round the pool with a snooker cue asking want a game of pool as you can imagine, lots of people said yes please to that..NOT. There is nothing for the children at all, apart from the pool, which are both pants, so i wld not reccomed taking youe kids there. Can picfort itself is a lovely place, with plenty of shops and resturants, all not cheap and a few bars but not for young clubbers. easy access to Alcudia on the bus for 1.30 euros each way. and pollensa 10 min extra journey, which is nice but quiet. in june we stayed at club tonga, just up the road, which was so much better, and 100 cheaper all inclusive!.
