Have never been to Tenerife before but found the resort we went to, Los Cristianos, a lovely, clean and friendly place. Along side the beach and harbour there were plenty of places to eat and drink and gift shops to browse around. The town was also nearby and all in walking distance. Although the Atlantida apartments were clean we arrived at 11pm at night, everything was closed and all we wanted was a cup of tea the first problem was no kettle, the fridge/freezer didnt work and the milk went off, went to spin some clothes in washing machine door wouldnt open, outside light didnt work and the entrance door was very hard to open/shut and lock. All problems were dealt with very quickly except the door. The swimming pool was ok, it was kept very clean but alot of the mosaic tiles around the top were broken and chipped , the wooden planks around the outside of the pool were badly maintained and lifting in placess making it very dangerous. All in all a very nice holiday but not upto usual thomson standards.
well where shall i start, we read the reviews before we went and was a bit worried but we thought ,well its just a base so it will be ok, we landed and got the coach without any holiday rep she just left us all on the coach and went off, the driver took us to the apts, we walked into reception and thought its ok a big basic but ok, we were given the room 26, opened the door to the room and then it hit us, a horrible smell of damp and mildew, HORRIBLE, we tryed to air the room without sucess, the bath in the bathroom was rusty and dirty, the bed room was dirty and stunk .the chopping board in the kitchen was stained and disgusting,the floor was sticky so went we walked on it our shoes stuck to it.
looking around the kitchen area there was damp patches on the walls the kitchen was dirty ,bathroom lock and handle was hanging off, we stayed 9hrs in that hell hole,
we phoned thomson who was no help and at a vast cost to us ,we moved to a lovely place and loved our holiday, i am shock thomson even has this dump on their books......
we never use thomson ever again
please dont book this holiday as u will live to regret it like we did, it is not value for money

I can't believe Thomson have this on their books. We returned back yesterday and I really would not recommend this to anyone. We read a couple of reviews before we went but thought perhaps people were being fussy they are not.The place is full of rubbish bins overflowing, cockroaches everywhere (in our beds) and the pool is filthy. I can't bear to think what the food is like.We were very lucky as Thomson moved us following our first night to much better accommodation, if we hadn't moved we would have gone home. I really can't stress enough how dirty this place is. We are still in season yet the complex was a ghost town.Los Christianos is a great resort but the apartments are a disgrace to Thomson.
