We found the Apartments in a nice quite cul-de-sac on the front. Lovely walks of an evening but not much of a beach . To make up for this there are three swimming pools on sight one for small children plus two others.A short walk to the harbour gives you all the excursions you want.We hired a car and the driving is good very laid back as speed limits enforced. There are some lovely beaches a short bus ride away including the sand dunes where its just like the sahara. A couple of things we did have mixed feelings about there are no welcome meetings at the resort whether this is the recession kicking in but you have to find out things your self , and a sore point with me was when arriving at the airport we came out of the arrival hall to a massive big bus terminal totally empty except for our coach parked in the furthest corner hundreds of yards away and for some elderley people this was just to much to drag cases that far we could not understand why as it was totally empty the driver could not have parked a lot closer but i saved on the tip. But we had a lovely holiday and would return to this resort again.

After reading some past reviews, was a little hesitant in making this selection. The hotel, self catering, was absolutely faultless, clean, friendly staff, peaceful, great location with all amenities easy to get to. Great all you can eat breakfasts. Did not matter there was little entertainment or evening restaurant because all was within an easy 20 minute stroll. Some prices in the site shop were cheaper than the plentiful local supermarkets. Added bonus was the weather was brilliant for 5 of the 7 days. On the downside, English newspapers difficult to obtain and around #2 each but only after about 10.30 from Netto. Beware if you arrive here as we did at around 8.30 pm, supermarkets close at around 9.00pm but there are some local restaurants within 5 mins but could not get bottled water til next day. Overall a great holiday and would certainly have no reservation in returning. May be different in the high season but we only holiday in February and October so would not know. Ray and Margaret....... youthful, middle aged with no children and a limited budget

Me, my partner, our 4yr old son + 2yr old daughter stayed here for 1 wk at the beginning of Sept. We had a 1 bedroom apt on the ground floor, just in front of the pool area, which had everything we needed + was kept pretty clean..fresh towels left every day apart from Thurs+Sun. I guess the only thing I could moan about was the cockroaches at night out on the patio + the ants in the morning but it wasn't major + I think you'll get this wherever you go on this island due to the climate. The food at the poolside bar was ok..handy for those daytime snacks if the kids got hungry while playing round the pool. There were 3 pools, 1 shallow one for the toddlers, lifeguard on site at all times. Sunbeds always available. The hotel supermarket was 30 seconds away from our apt, it had everything we needed..they kept some english brands of things like bread + butter which was good. The hotel staff were friendly + even helped us source out an indian restaurant for a takeaway..handy when we fancied just chilling out on the patio when the kids were in bed. We felt that the hotel was a perfect base for Coralejo..nice quiet spot with a lovely view out over the water towards Lanzarote, gorgeous 10 min walk along the promenade towards the harbour, lovely friendly restaurants on the seafront (which we used almost every night) lovely beaches all close by, plenty of supermarkets. We walked in + out of the main town most days (15 mins) only used a taxi once. The rep was helpful with booking our excursions..we went to Oasis Park + Baku Waterpark. The only negative thing I could say about Oasis Park is that it can be awkward if you are pushing buggies (we had 2!) as the flooring is made of gravel (don't wear flipflops!) so it was a bit exhausting to say the least but the animals on show were fab + the eat all you can buffet was nice. Baku was great because it had a little toddlers pool area with slides, surrounded my sunbeds, so Mum n Dad could sit in the shade of the umbrellas, watching on. Some wicked slides here for the older children..grownups too of course! Only downside was the price of the food in the restaurant! We booked a glass bottom boat trip over to Lobos ourselves, down at the harbour...this was a nice wee trip + the kids enjoyed it. Overall, we had a lovely holilday here..nothing spectacular, but we would come back! Just make sure you bring plenty of suncream (especially if on the beach) + aloe vera + invest in one of the straw hats you'll see in the shops! Enjoy

We found the Bristol Playa a great value, comfortable place to stay for a week. The pool area is spacious and there are plenty of sun loungers for everyone. The apartments are well situated for a short walk into the centre of Corralejo which we found charming, and are well away from the mass development going on at the other end of the resort. We were rather concerned having read some of the negative reviews but think these problems must be in the past as we had no complaints. All in all we'll definitely be going back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

A good accomodation near to the centre without being in the middle of the noise. supermarkets, bus station and good restaurants all within walking distance. there is even an English bakery. The island Carnaval was very good and it was nice to see local children dressed up for the event.
