Having stayed at the Rosamar twice before and after two previous fantastic stays in the hotel we were excited about returning to the hotel but we were very disappointed with this visit. The main reason for this was the poor quality of the food and drink in the hotel. The choice of food has been greatly reduced since our previous visits as is the quality. On most days chicken was served but mainly in the form of chicken drumsticks. Chips are served with breakfast, lunch and dinner but if you are looking for potato in any other form then that might be difficult unless you like potates dripping in oil or clearly over liquified mash made from powder. Other types of vegetables also missing in action I'm afraid - extremely difficult to get a balanced diet when staying that this hotel - often witnessed guests with chips, rice and pasta all on the one plate - tempted myself somedays as these proved on occasion to be the only edible options available but so many Carbs :-( Sure the chefs were a bit inventive - leftover breakfast sausages wraped in pastry and served at lunch or day befores leftover fish as a pizza topping. On the days it seemed like there might be real meat other than chicken - don't be fooled it is the cheap everything mashed together variety - so god only knows what's in it. Often the food was under cooked or very over cooked and watch out for the rotten food - I picked a chunk of blue molded cheese off my plate from the salad bar. And on the day we asked for a packed lunch we were given tomatoes in each lunch bag - one covered in black marks and the other with molded fuzz growing out the top - yuk!! Bread rolls are left out all day and new ones piled on top when supplies are running low - so try to get one from near the top of the pile or watch your teeth when biting into the stale ones. To make matters worse week 2's menu was identical to that of week 1. Ended up eating away from the hotel a number of times in order to get a nice meal and spoke to others who had resorted to the same - one woman had spent a fortune to get proper meals for her kids. Even witnessed a couple complaining to the manager about the food only to be dismissed rather rudely. The drinks in the bars are also over priced and poor quality local spirits - we often drank in the Calypso hotel next door which had excellent 2 for 1 offers and next time we head to Benidorm will most likely book the Calypso. First holiday I've gone on and come back having lost weight.

We have had a great time in Benidorm at the Hotel Rosamar for 2 weeks .Weather was very good for time of year and the Hotel was very busy looking after all the guests. The food has always been excelent for us and for our friends who came as well. The rooms are very clean and with clean fresh towels everyday. We asked for a room about the 5,6 or 7th floor and was given one on the 5th which highly suited us.The cleaning staff are always pleasant and helpful which makes staying at this Hotel a pleasure.I can recommend the Rosamar for any who wants a very nice hotel and it is central to all the entertainment. We shall be going back again in June as the weather is allot warmer which is what we like.(hope this helps you to choose your hotel.)

It was the second time we had stayed at the Rosamar and it was as good as the first, the food was good and plentyful with ample choice, the hotel was nice and clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The Rosamars location is ideal for us as it is on the level and easy to get around the resort , we will consider staying here on our next visit to Benidorm later in the year as we have no complaint whatsoever

Reading through reviews before I went I was concerned, once we got there we were allocated a room where we requested, UK TV channels for free, service was good hotel clean and staff were friendly. Next the Restaurant, I had no problems with any of the food choices, quality or quantity, my partner is a fussy eater in UK but always found a full meal every sitting, the choice of salads was great, hot puddings, normally rice or bread and butter but always cakes that you could have with custard hot or cold, Yoghurt's, ice cream and loads of fruit. Main meals normally had a choice of pasta, fish and meat, and at the show cooking counter Pizza and Paella available every day, Had freshly cooked swordfish, pork chops from here as well as roast chicken, roast pork carvery to die for and Roast Beef and Yorkshire puddings on a Sunday. Listening to other guests half said it was great half said it was bad, my only thought was that the spicy food (like curry) was not spicy they seem to be dumbing down the spice to cater for all tastes. As far as food hygiene is concerned the food counters were spotless and a member of staff was at the entrance to the dining room with sanitizer gel which all guests were encouraged to use, but some shooed her away as far as I am concerned all should have been forced to use this or not get fed. So I had a great time here in the Hotel with my partner despite really bad weather including a Tornado and Hail stones and only 1 day of sunshine, so read all the reviews and try for yourself remember it is a 3 star hotel not a 5 star and as far as I am concerned it is a good 3 star. And remember staff will always smile at you if you smile at them, they are working you are on holiday!

Not impressed with this hotel. It is used by many Spanish pesioners for their break and found them to be quite ignorent.Food at time was cold and staff seemed more interested in them than us.Room were not cleaned properly and we had to ask for showere gel on many occasions.Would nor recommend to any one.The lifts were useless at busy times.
