Have stayed at this hotel for the last three years but this year the food at lunch and dinner was not of such a high standard, It was not hot enough and the meat was not tender at all .The hotel in every other way was excellent.

This was our second visit to the Diplomatic hotel, standards are superbly high as it was on the first visit. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk into the old town or a 15 minute walk to the new area. We used local taxi's which are very cheap. (Around 4 Euros to the indoor market) Champagne at breakfast, a wonderful choice for meat eaters and vegans. The desserts are out of this world. The rooms are exceptionally clean and maid service is daily. The staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The evening entertainment is varied and very good. If you don't like to be entertained there is a large lounge with easy chairs to relax with a drink. The outdoor pool is pretty and there are always sun beds available. There is a very good indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The tennis courts are at the rear of the hotel. It is just a few minutes walk to the beach across a busy main road, but there are traffic lights which stop the traffic for pedestrians. We have stayed in several Benidorm hotels, all of which are nice, but the Diplomatic is by far and above superior to any other. We will certainly go back and back.

We have been taking holidays to Benidorm in the Winter for the last 15 years and this was the best hotel we have stayed in so far. The rooms where clean and well spaced out (we have a view of the pool) the balconys are quite large with plenty of room to sit out. The food was good even though it was spanish orientated with plenty of variety. Staff where pleasant and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is well situated for a nice relaxing holiday not too far away from the beach. We will definitely be booking again for next year.

The Diplomatic is by far the plushest hotel we have stayed at. The rooms are beautiful with well designed bathrooms. The restaurant is nicely designed with no queues at meal times. Meals are superb, caviar and champagne at breakfast along with all you would expect for a full english. All meats salads and fish dishes available at lunch and evening meals. A vast selection of sweets include bread and butter pudding, rice pudding, trifles, custards etc. Facilities include outside and inside pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym.
The hotel is just a few minutes walk to either the beach or the old town. The new town is a fifteen minute walk or about 4 euros 50 cents by taxi.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is kept spotless. Out of all the hotels within Spain that we have stayed at this is definitely 10/10 and my wife and I vow to return as soon as possible.
