We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment in the Paphos Gardens. It was huge!! The apartment was not in a block but was almost like a terraced house. Had your own gate, patio with table and chairs, living room which was very spacious with dining area, kitchen where the fridge freezer was like you would have at home, (not the usual ones with the little freezer compartment at the top!!). Dishwasher and built in cooker. Also small toilet downstairs. Upstairs were 2 large bedrooms, one with balcony, and bathroom. Could not have asked for a better holiday base. In the main hotel building the gym had facilities which were second to none. Beautiful health spa and large indoor pool with jacuzzi which was warm. Ample space around the outdoor pool to lie back and sunbathe, children's playground was within site of pool and could only be accessed from pool side therefore didn't have to worry about them wandering off unseen. Pool snacks were reasonably priced and large in portion size - very nice!! Lots of seated areas in the main reception, and a very helpful guy called Bryn who was english but lived there and was able to give good tips on where to go and where to avoid. Reception staff were very helpful, offered us the opportunity to stay in our room free of charge until we had to leave to go to the airport - customer service at its best!! Paphos itself is brilliant. Apartments / hotel were close enough that you didn't have a hike to get to bars but far enough away that you did't get all the noise. Lovely walk into the harbour area. Bus is only 80p to get from hotel to harbour so well worthwhile (although taxis are unbelievably cheap). Cannot recommend these apartments and Paphos itself highly enough. Can't wait to go back.

What was great about my holiday was that the travel agent I booked with had just stayed at this hotel and said that it was a great place to stay and in a safe area, as I was going on holiday by my self and she was write the hotel was clean, the staff were frendly and food was great the hotel is easy location for the beach the harbour and easy to get to the main cites and busses are easy to use and cheap. When in Phaphos take a day trip to eygpt it is a once in a lifetime experenice. Paphos had just what I was looking for historical sites I would definitely stay in Paphos and the Paphos Gardens again as spoke to someone on the plane and their hotel was not so good.

Brilliant self catering little house - so typically greek and not your bog standard accomm, cleaning staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant excellent value - eat as much as you like buffet type food serving greek, english and others. Staff exceptionally friendly. well stocked little mini-mart. One drawback is be careful on the safari to Troodus and don't buy the video/dvd cause it doesn't arrive! Possibly a scam going on there, otherwise a great excursion with brilliant guides.

We stayed here late January this year, our first time to Cyprus, the hotel is splendid, we were on half board, and found the food to be plentiful with lots of variety, the staff are pleasant and helpful, and we shall most certainly go back. We really liked cyprus, plenty to do and see, we hired a car and explored some of the Island, but there is also a good local bus service into town and onto Coral bay, try the Haven cafe near to st. Paul's church, just past Debenhams and up the road a bit, good home made food and drinks.

We were a bit disappointed with the St George Hotel, while there were certain things you would expect from a Platinum Hotel and the reception and public areas were beautiful the rooms were a bit shabby. They are to undergo refurbishment this year, this is badly needed. Housekeeping was not up to standard, beds given a quick spread, carpets not vacumed and balcony furniture and floor never touched. It was not a bad holiday but not really the standard of Platinum.
