We have just returned from our holiday feeling refreshed and relaxed. Most of the staff were excellent although someone on the reception were very rude and unhelpful. The hotel was very disappointing. We were shocked at how poor the standard double rooms were. Surely 4 star means all over the hotel and not just the expensive suites. The bedrooms were just 2 star and the renovated room we were moved to was barely 3 star. The hotel was celebrating its 20th anniversary and some parts of the public areas and the outside were showing their age.

Our first time at the Paradise Park Hotel and it will not be our last, we loved it. It was a birthday treat for my 65th birthday From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was a very pleasant room with a very large and well furnished bathroom. The staff were some of the best we have known with everyone making us feel special. Food was good and plentiful and the evening entertainment was excellent with a great animation team organising it.

6 March 2008. We have just spent two weeks at Paradise Park, the hotel is at the top of quite a steep hill, although the hotel has a mini bus to take you to the town but not at weekends. The food is good plenty of choice but not enough staff in restaurant at busy times. The bedrooms let the hotel down, they dont seem to have any money spent on them since the hotel was built and are quite shabby but clean. We booked a Pool view room on a high floor but the reception gave us a room on the road side and we had to stand our ground to get what we had paid for. The Thomson rep was of no use what so ever and could do with being given some training in customer care. Would we go back ? Tenerife yes, Paradise Park, not so sure, unless they upgrade the bedrooms. Paradise is not a Four Star Hotel is is doubtful if it would make Three Stars, this is because of the bedrooms. All the Staff are lovely and do a great job under what seems to difficult conditions as the Management dont seem to care so long as the Hotel is full.

We spent 2weeks in the hotel over x-mas and New year and had a wonderful time. I had read a few reviews before I went and was a little apprehensive, so we were delighted when we arrived. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean. We had room service every day, clean towels, bathroom cleaned, beds made, floors washed. There was a wide choice of food at breakfast and at dinner. Sometimes some things werent so hot, but you soon learned what to have and where to have it from. We always found something that we liked, and if you like dessert, there is plenty to choose from!! We spent most morning sunbathing on the roof, nice and quiet. After lunch time we would get the mini bus down town most days and would stroll along the waterfront, calling in at a few bars along the way. Some evenings we went to the lounge in the hotel where the entertainment was, drink was a bit expensive, but there was a shortage of waiters so you didnt drink too much. There is a Spar shop just down the road from the hotel which is very handy if you like just to sit on your balcony and have a drink. We were lucky to have a sea view and got the sun there all afternoon. There are also lots of nice pubs round about and everyone is very friendly. We went to the Jungle Park one day, where we thoroughly enjoyed the birds of prey display. Apart from that we just spent most days lazing around. We met a lot of really nice people and had a really good time at New year. We would certainly go back. Sheila Butza, Kirriemuir.

Oh boy never again. Worst holiday in over 30 years. I have never stayed in such a horrible room with cig marks all over the worktop, marks on the wall and water marks running down the wardrobes from the air conidtioning. We could not even sit on the white, well they were supposed to white plastic seats on the balcony, they were disgusting. Thomson will not admit that this hotel is not 4 star, start listening to the people who actually pay good money to stay there. If you like fish fingers and potato croquettes then this is the hotel for you. There is no rep at the hotel and don't bother trailing to the apts where they are supposed to be at cos yes you've guessed it they dont' turn up. Don't bother trying the 24 hour helpline either because they are too busy helping other people and you get cut off, with no refund of any money. We were overcharge for the room upgrade that we requested after having stayed our second night at a better hotel because we could not stand another night in this horrible room and when we queried the cost we were told that the lower price was for canarians only. A racist remark or what. The hotel is out of the way from everything and quite frankly has nothing going for it at all. Get a grip Thomson and get this hotel inspected and given the measley 1 star that it actually is.
