I read a few reviews before i stayed at the hotel. In my opinion the hotel accomodation/rooms are not of 4 star, quality the rooms are very dated. We were intially also put in a room with a view of the road until we asked to be moved. However the facilities of the hotel are good, nice swimming pools. The hotel is quiet and the location is quiet which is nice. The staff are friendly and the food was average. We only stayed at the hotel for a long weekend and to be honest i dont think we would have liked to have stayed any longer. All in all i really feel that Thomson should review the hotel again.

Booked a late deal, with hotel allocated on arrival. Were slightly concerned to be taken to Paradise Park which is marketed in the brochure as being ideal for couples as this hotel does not accept reservations for children under 16 - we had a 3 year old with us!! Were made very welcome by helpful and attentive staff. Room was ideal with seperate lounge/bedroom area. Room very clean. However situated in such a position that didn't get any Sun on the balcony. Restaurant was very good with buffet service both at breakfast and dinner. Good choice of food and replenished promptly. Releived on the third night to find that this hotel that didn't accept children had put on mini disco for the kids which all the children there enjoyed (don't know about the adults?) Location was fine for us as enjoyed the walks to and from the beach however might not be so enjoyable on the way back when it gets hotter. Would certainly recommend and consider returning to Paradise Park.

Negatives! You make your own, and live with it, for a week or two, this is agood hotel, move it to los gigantes, and we would stay in it again. Spend a few hours on the hotel roof away from it all soaking up the suns rays, dip in the Qzi?, HAVE A BEER, GREAT. The food/choice was very good, didn't miss eating out at all. A good atmosphere around the pool quiet/relaxing. We're in our 40s, our daughter is fourteen, the average age, I'd say was 50+. The appartments are in need of a refurb, they are doing that. But the hotel complex makes up for that. Staff are friendly, tell jancarlo, neil, julie alex, was asking about him,he does the entertainments. Hotel is in the cleaner side of town, a 15 min gentle walk to the harbour. Went watching the whales. (pilot). Great experience. Didn't go to loro park, wish we had. Went to Los Gigantes and masca, fantastic places. If we went tenerife again, thats were we would stay. Masca, take your walking boots, walk down the ravine, 3-4hrs. Thats how huge it is!. get the ferry at the coast, 3 (pickups aday) and then taken to los gigantes, a must do. Have a great time.

We went for 2 weeks and had a good time.

The hotel has good points, but also drawbacks, and we won't be going again.

Many of the services seem to be run for the benefit of the management, rather than the customers, and we question whether, from a holiday-maker perspective, the hotel deserves four stars.

Main good points:
We had a nice room on the 5th floor, overlooking the swimming pool and with a sea view. But many of the rooms are not so well positioned.
The cleaning service was excellent, as was the general hotel maintenance. We even had a flat-screen tv with Sky Sports 1.
The main swimming pool was good, with nicely warm water. There was an excellent sunbathing area, with good quality sunbeds, right up on the roof of the hotel, with good views all round.

Main drawbacks:
The hotel's location. It sits towards the top of a long incline, with a very steep bit right at the top, and walking up and down the hill is boring and takes time (12 mins down, 15 - 20 mins up) especially if you have mobility difficulties. There is nothing much around the hotel, so the journey is necessary if you want to enjoy the local resorts. There is a 17-seat courtesy bus to Los Christianos, every half-hour, but it doesn't run at lunchtimes, in the evenings, on Saturday afternoons or on Sundays. We used it often, but it sometimes filled before everyone was able to board, so the unlucky ones had to wait for the next trip. But, to be fair, the driver did seem to try to slip in extra trips if this happened.

By far the biggest drawback was the dining room, which was chaotic at the times we used it and seemed to have no mechanisms for learning from or addressing problems. The food was quite good, but there was relatively little choice, and the room seemed far too small for the number wanting to use it, and was quite dark. There were often queues to get in and queues for the items (eggs, fish, meat) that were being freshly cooked. The (too few?) staff struggled to cope, and often, when something ran out, it wasn't replenished. This was particularly true with grapes -there seemed to be one bowl and when they were gone, that was it. The fresh fruit was not particularly good, and presentation was poor - it often appeared to have been brought in by wheelbarrow and just tipped onto the table.

All in all, we think that the Paradise Park's drawbacks outweigh the good points and that there are better hotels in better locations in the local resorts.

I've been to Tenerife before (in my younger day!) but stayed in other resorts. This time I wanted something a little more relaxing as this was my first holiday with my partner so also wanted somewhere romantic. Hotel Paradise Park certainly didn't disappoint! The staff were really friendly, the food was fantastic and you really wanted for nothing. The location was also ideal, quiet yet only a short walk to the shops, bars etc. Definately a must visit and we enjoyed it so much that we're hoping to re-visit this year.
