My wife and I stayed at Paradise Park in los Cristianos and had a very relaxing time. We did not sunbathe but walked most days in the warmth and sunshine. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed the hotel very much. We used the courtesy coach to bring us up the hill on one or two occasions but mostly just walked and browsed the shops.
I want to book again for 2012. I travelled solo and the staff were very considerate. The room for a single was large and well supplied. All public areas are clean and functional. Pools are varied for all ages. Loved the food and never had to wait for a table or to queue for self service. The walk down to the sea front takes about 15 mins and walking back is ok as long as it isn't hot. If your going to do the lovely walk to Las Americas, I would suggest taking the free transport from the hotel which is every 10 mins. In all I recommend this hotel for older people.
I went to paradise park in august last year. I went with my husband and two children,11&15, all four of us had an amazing time. There was very few occasions when we werent satisfied with the holiday. we stayed all inclusive which was a great desition because they had an ice cream bar and an open bar near the pool and it was an easier option when we were getting food. There was something for all of us. Me and my husband lounged by the pool all day whilst my son made friends very quickly and played with a blow up ball which we had bout from the shops up the road which were very useful for bits and bobs. And my daughter made lots of friends and chatted up the lads by the pool table which she spent all our money on. Up the road there was a pub called the shakespare which was great, its televised the footy and they served a great beakfast when we fancied a morning out. There was also a place where you could use computers and phone family and friends which we used often. Overall it was a brilliant holiday which we all thurarally enjoyed. The reps were very friendly whilst we were there and the activities during the day were great for us because it meant our troublesome teens could join in too. I'm deffinatly going back and my daughter is already planning to take her children there when she is older! :L I reccomend it too eeryone, because the people staying werent all english or all german or what ever there was a healthy mixture which was brilliant as we made lots of friends by the pool. If you are reading this and have a good deal above i would book this holiday in a click!
Just returned (April 12th) from Tenerife having stayed at Paradise Park in Los Cristianos. The Hotel was a genuine 4 star as described in brochures. The staff were the most pleasant and courteous I have ever encountered in a Canarian Resort. The rooms were kept immaculate and the food was outstanding. The bar staff and restuarant staff were very friendly and always had a smile for you. The evening entertainment was the only blot on the whole of the holiday. It seemed as as long as their was a noise coming from the stage area that it would satisfy the Paying guests. One or two of the acts were good bust most were enough to drive you to an early bed, or into the room for an hour watching TV before going to sleep. However the childrens entertainment throughout the day was excellent. We had no children with us but stayed at the family pool just to watch the ( Animacion ) staff entertain the adults and kids. I have never seen such dedicated people, The kids loved them and they thouroughly deserve a huge pat on the back for their daily efforts. The 4 pools were always spotless.(Family/ Rooftop/ Long and Island pool across the walkway. The family pool had the warmest water. Some Details: Location was not spectacular as you had a 15 minute walk uphill from the beach area( slight incline )The Hotel run a bus (free) every 30 min to beach and back.Tea and coffee in room (free). 7 British channels on TV (free). The Superior rooms with pool view were worth the upgrade as some standard rooms did not get sun on balcony. The towels for sunbeds were initially 10 euros deposit and you could change them daily and after your holiday you got your money back. No shortage of sunbeds. The safe in your room was expensive (2.30 euros?)per day. All inclusive bands on your wrist meant you did not get pestered/hijacked while walking past eating places. All Inclusive if you have a family is worth the money as ice-cream/drinks/snacks etc always available and as said before the food is excellent. The cost of eating out is quite expensive so be prepared. I would say one minor downside to the hotel is the Internet. It is in foyer and is 1 Euro for 12 minutes but if go out Hotel turn right and up hill to first internet cafe 2 minutes up the road and you get 1 HOUR for 1 Euro. If you go to the Sunday Market (just down the road) be sure to go early. By 10am the busloads of people arrive. Overall: A very good holiday in a quiet area with an excellent Hotel and Staff. This holiday was on a budget, just to get away from a bad UK winter. The acommodation was fine, even when we had a severe rain storm and water came through the ceiling we had no trouble getting an upgraded room. Location was a 15 minute walk from the town which was ok. However, we would strongly recommend booking with another operator as Thomson have been nothing but obstructive when we told them they had lost an item of our property which they originally found on the plane. Every enquiry made takes 28 days to respond to, all staff we spoke to seem to sing from a different htmn sheet, they all interpret their own procedures differently. Finally they tell you they cannot now find your property and tell you to claim against your own insurance. Surprise surprise, by the time you finally get a decision from them you find that the time limit ti make any claim has long expired. Amatures. Go elsewhere for your holiday.
