My boyfriend & I got a late deal at the beginning of July, to travel to Magaluf/Palma Nova in mid july. We chose 'allocation on arrival', but were assured that we would have a minimum 3 star hotel in the middle of the resort. As this was our first time doing AOA, we were quite nervous that we would end up in some dive half a hour from the beach! But we were pleasantly surprised!!! Was put in the Sol Guadalupe (obviously part of the sol hotel group, but not actually featured on the thomson website or brochures) which was a street away from the main magaluf strip (nearby, but not noisy) and about 200m from the beach. We are both in our 20s but just wanted a nice relaxing break in the sun, which is what we got! Guadalupe said it was a 3 star, but i would say its a 3.5 or even 4! Room was clean and pleasant, lovely sea view, and lots to do in the actual hotel (including arcade games, ps2, a cyber cafe, bar, daily activities etc). The reason why I have put this review under Sol Trinidad, is because we were AOA so had no rep at the hotel - the rep we visited to book excursions was based at the Sol Trinidad (just a 10 min walk from our hotel). He explained to us that the Guadalupe was the hotel thomson used to accomodate any 'overspill' during the peak season...lucky us!!! Though it was magaluf, the Guadalupe had more couples and families, compared to many of the other hotels around. We were half board and the buffets were GOOD - lots of variety, piping hot and actually tasty! Cant speak for the other dozen Sol hotels in the magaluf/palma nova area, but im sure they are of similar standards. Just writing this review to recommend the Sol Guadalupe, and give hope to anyone doing AOA - forget about the horror stories, you could have a chance of being put in a brilliant hotel like we were!

The hotel in general goood and clean and staff good but the only thing that let it down was the amout of stag and hen partys stayin at the hotel and the noise in the hotel when they come back gets bad with a lot banging and swearing, this is not stayted in the brochure.

After visiting Mallorca on numerous occasions, staying at the Sol Trinidad is like coming home every time, the food is terrific as is the staff nothing is too much trouble. Had a seaview room this year, entertainment lacks something but a taxi ride to Lady Dianas in Palma Nova does the trick, great food and great atmosphere we're always counting the days to going back to our second home.

About 6 years ago for the first time in my life i decided that i was going on holiday so off i go to the travelagent in doncaster and decided that i would like a great holliday. I let the girl in the travelagent decide where myself and my sister were going. To my supprize we were given the sol trinidad, as our destenation, the most friendlest hotel you could wish for.
Good food, good companey and wonderfull staff in reception and on the bar. Magaluff is agreat place to be for both young and old.
Plenty to keep every one ocupied. The trinidad is central to everywere, the rooms are wondrefull and clean. The maids were lovley and we comunicated with them very well as i only speak very little spanish.
We made friends very easy with all the staff, including the managers tomas pons and javia bonet, we were so impresed that we have gone back to the trinidad ever since.
The hotel is kept to a very high standered the pool is kept clean and tests carrird out on the water every day. In my opionion the trinidad is the best host hotel in mallorca a small walk to golden beaches, small family resterants with good companey.
The nightlife surounds magaluff, with a great time for all. To all that visit the hotel sol trinidad i hope you have a good time, and make a lot of friends with the staff. For the disabled people there are 4 lifts and is equiped with plenty of ramps and easy access even to the outside barbeque wich is a very good meal.
The dining room is self service on a flat surface with easy access to your food. Nothing is to much troble for the staff the bed are maid every dey and towels are changed every day too and the bedding is changrd twice weekley. What more can i say about a great holliday in a fantastic hotel the sol trinidad.

The first thing I noticed when I arrived in May 2005 and again in August was the friendliness of the staff and how helpful they were in every way. I had a twin room on both occations as a single person and what lovely and clean rooms they were, the housemaids were again so friendly and helpful, nothing on the whole of those holidays, was anything too much trouble for them. The food was excellent value, it was well presented and nice and easy to eat. I found the evening entertainment was not my cup of tea every night and I found that drinks were a little expensive, but I was out on the town most nights, that is what attracted me to the lovely hotel. It was smack in the middle of all the entertainment around magaluf which was just a short walk to everywhere in town. I also noticed it was wheelchair friendly and i was impressed with the swimming pool area. It was kept in lovely condition.
Overhaul a great hotel and great value for your money. Go any try it, the staff will welcome with open arms I am sure. You will enjoy your holiday and I forgot to mention there is everything you would want for the little ones. Sorry my children have all grown up, but no matter your age you will love it.
