Land of the Kings was ace. Everybody I met staffwise was polite and the waiters were a good laugh. The pool was completely satisfactory, I certianly did not experience any dirt...maybe you are expecting too much of this hotel. If you wanted 5 star then get one! You get what you paid for. The only complaint I could have was the sewage truck that arrived once a week, the smell was indeed nasty, but it's obvious they had to do that and I understand that! Despite only having a small bar, you could enjoy a night at the bar as the waiters would join in, do kareoke and have a laugh with you..I cannot complain about staff at all. They were brilliant. The rooms were basic as we expected. We had an ant problem but it happened when we left bread out all day. So what would you expect? The beds were absolutely fine and the bathrooms clean as could be. I don't know where you lot went but it sounds snobbish that you expect so much from a hotel that ISNT 5 star to begin with. If you wanted luxury then you should have bought it. Simple as.

These are terrible apartments and should be avoided. To call them self catering is a joke, it would be impossible to cook any kind of meal with the facilities provided, the equipment list was covered in notations for missing crockery and utensils which had never been put right.

The apartment had not been cleaned since the last visitor left, their sand was still in the shower tray and their sweet wrapers down the furniture, you could write your name in the dust on the window cill.

The shower head was dangerously loose having been installed upside down, which gives some indication of the lack of care.

The bathroom waste was blocked and the patio light didn't work, although the maintence man did fix these. The apartment was smelly, the kitchen bin filthy.

The Scottish receptionist, who may have been the owner, was rude, unhelpful and couldn't have cared less about us. We were sent off into a darkened complex with a brief description of where to find our apartment amongst 7 different blocks, navigating around the pool in the dark, and we weren't the only ones, an elderly couple wandered about lost in the complex until a guest helped them find their way.

Air condtioning is £3.50 Cy per day, which is not mentioned in the description.

Tiles around the pools are loose and and some missing creating trip hazards for the children, sunbeds are without cushions and are the uncomfortable plastic slat type. There are no steps at the shallow end of the pool for children or those who don't want to go in at the deep end, which is where you'll be if you book these very poor apartments.

The whole complex is seedy with an uncared for feel about it. Save your money and go elsewhere, any where but here.

The most disgusting hotel we have ever had the misfortune of staying at thomson should be ashamed to take clients money to stay here. dirty linen, filthy rooms, pool digusting tide mark all the way round it unable to see bottom most days. Customers rooms broken into. Manageress absolutely raving mad shouts and screams allday.
