The Hotel was really good. Cleanliness outstanding, clean towels every day, beds changed every two days. The food was fantastic. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The only problem we found was the groups staying All inclusive. Too much drinking! The location was excellent, so close to the beach and lovelyn bars. All very reasonably priced. The Spanish bars providing Tapas with every drink. We had a lovely Thomson trip to Valencia, the City was fantastic and the tour guide very interesting. Travelled on local bus to go to Poniente and La Marina. Craig, the rep was extremely helpful. Flights and transfers really good, everything to time. Look out Benidorm, we'll be back!
We stayed in the centre of Playa Levante beach, Benidorm in the hotel Sol Pelicanos. This was just a stroll away from all the nightlife you could want from karoke bars to tribute bands continuously throughout the night. Jokers was a great venue and you could always have a laugh in The Red Lion. The hotel itself was spotless, the staff were really friendly and ready to help at all times. The bar staff and maitre d in the restaurant and waiters were lovely, always ready with a smile and ready to have a laugh with you. The food was okay, there was always something you could eat, you never went hungry. The rooms were a little tired but cleaned and changed every day by the hard working chamber maids. The pool area was also spotless and tidied up every evening ready for the next day. The entertainment in the Sol Pelicanos was basic but good. The entertainment staff worked very hard and were good. As we were all inclusive we didn't venture out to any restaurants but when walking round we noticed a great variety of different places to eat from Tapas bars to Steak Houses, all reasonably priced. For the shoppers there was a great selection of shops, shoes and bags seem to be the order of the day. There was a big outdoor market every Wednesday and Sunday, very busy but worth a look. There was a regular bus service to Aquamania and Mundemar and down to the Old Town. There was also a little train which took you round the area of Playa Levante. The beach area of Playa was beautiful, cleaned and levelled every evening. Our Thomson rep Craig was really helful and always made time for a chat. We cannot wait to go back to Benidorm, we could never get fed up with strolling along the Promenade by the beautiful aqua sea and golden sands to meandering round the back streets coming upon different types of bars and clubs. What a brilliant place.
came home on 5 march weather not brill but had a good time ,only one fault with hotel ,we had a early departure at 7 30 from hotel resterant did nt open untill 8 00,asked rep about breakfast he told use there would be some there for us at 7 00 went down for it all there was was a few cakes and some bread ,there was a toaster ,but it was not turned on ,so no breakfast ,not very happy with that . everything else great benidorm palace was a fantastic night ,dont miss it .hotel entertainment not too bad ,food in hotel except last breakfast good on choice and value. over all a nice break for me and wife
