the location is on the quiet side but i reckon the beach is the best in the bay and the hotel was every bit as good as the reviews i read.we just loved the maritimo and its a definate four star hotel everyone i spoke to was enjoying their stay.We looked forward to our meals which were to a very high standard and all the staff were so pleasant and helpfull , i cant even call the germans mind that might have something to do with the abundance of sunbeds and the fact nobody was out at the crack of dawn booking them.all in all if the location suits you i would highly recomend this hotel.

The Maritimo was in a lovely location, approx 100m from the beach, and close enough to shops bars and restaurants without getting any noise from them. The hotel was spotless, our room was cleaned every day to a high standard. The room was very nice and was plenty big enough for me and my wife. There was a handy little fridge to keep drinks cool. The food at the hotel was magnificent, with so much to choose from there was always something new to try, and you could go up as many times as you like. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile for you. We used the spa one day and found it very good and relaxing. We didnt go to the hotel entertainment so cant comment on this. There is a pub about 50M away called The Posh Paddy, A guy called Brendan plays his guitars and whistles and sings some great irish songs, an excellent night. Over the road from Posh Paddy's is Smiths, where you can have a meal or a quiet drink all day and be served by really friendly waiters. we didnt use the restaurants because the food at the hotel was so good. we didnt go on any excursions, but went into Alcudia on the bus, this cost 1 Euro 50 each, but the buses get really full. A taxi only costs 6 Euro's, so is good value. Over all we had a fantastic holiday and will definately go again.

Have been to Alcudia before and stayed in an apartment. Decided to go half board this time and chose the Maritimo. We were not disappointed. We read the reviews before booking but would have to say the Hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were comfortable, the food was excellent with large choice for breakfast and evening meals. The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel from our experience.

Hotel & location very good.Unfortunately, the service offered by the Thomson reps was minimal. We were not accompanied by a rep on the coach from the airport,neither was there a welcome meeting for the new arrivals & no welcome pack given to us.Also no Thomson directory to look up trips etc on the information desk.Eventually, we managed to find the rep, who only visited the hotel very occasionally for the odd hour & asked for details of trips etc. When we were due to go home, we had to text the Thomson help line, as there were no details of our time of departure 36 hours before we were due to leave the hotel.I think this problem needs to be rectified.
