Had a very good time at the Hotel Son Baulo, the food was excellent, lots of choice. Hotel is perfect for familys. Hotel is very clean, rooms are made up every day, the hotel is overlooking the beach. Would recommend going on the Ca'n Picafort Express Minitrain the journey lasts approx 45mins and travels around Ca'n Picafort its only 3 euros for adults, and 2 euros for children return. Would definately return to Hotel Son Baulo.

Returned from Son Baulo a week ago, can't wait to go back next year. Hotel located in quiet area, on lovely beach, next to nature reserve. It's about a twenty minute stroll into C'an Picafort. The rooms were nice size, clean and comfortable, with much needed air conditioning, fridge available at extra cost. The pool was nice size, and there are large sun terraces with lots of sunbeds, which did get taken quite quickly, but we always managed to find a spot for our family of four. All the staff at the hotel were were very friendly and helpful, particularly the waiters who were very attentive. We will definately return next year.

Just arrived home from a week's holiday with my husband, our 2 children (ages 5 3) and my Mum at the Son Baulo. Overall we had a very good holiday and we had fantastic weather all week. The hotel is very clean and the staff work hard to keep guests happy. The bedrooms are a reasonable size although fairly basic. Our sheets were changed 3 times and our towels every day. We had pre-booked 2 adjacent rooms on a high floor with a sea view. On arrival we discovered that only 1 room was ready and that no sea views rooms were available - the 2 rooms were not adjacent, but at least on the same floor. When I complained to Reception they said that they would try and resolve the problem the following day. (They offered us alternatives later that day but they weren't great. We were refunded our sea-view supplement.) One of the resident Thomsons team overheard my complaint but did nothing to help (are the reps more interested in selling trips than resoving problems?). The best rooms are on the 4th floor with either a sea view or pool view. A fridge is a must! The hotel's location is very good and you can sunbathe on a sun lounger (some broken and not very comfortable) on the terrace and enjoy watching life on the beach without getting sand everywhere. Plenty of sun-beds for everyone. The beach was very clean and the sea was warm. The hotel restaurant is light and airy although rather like a canteen. The food quality is very good although the presentation lets it down somewhat. There is always a children's buffet offering burgers, pasta and chicken nuggets every evening. For lunch, you can choose between the pool bar or terrace restaurant to buy baguettes, pizzas, toasties, salads etc. for under 3 Euros per item. The waiter service was very efficient at both places. The kids club runs for 2 hours a day (split by age group) 5 days a week - great fun and good staff! Each evening there is a kiddies disco - same music and routines every evening but the kids loved it! This is followed by Bingo every night- don't forget your pen!. There are a few bars and other hotels all in walking distance if you want a change of scene or don't want to watch the hotel's nightly entertainment - these acts were pretty good. We caught the road train into C'an Picafort one morning, where there are plenty of Tourist shops. There is a huge street market every Friday near to the hotel- worth visiting!. The Son Baulo hotel is like a tin of Ronseal - it does what it says on the tin.

Just returned from ca'n picafort where we stayed in the Son Baulo hotel. We have been to majorca 14 times & this was our 3rd visit to ca'n picafort. We previously stayed in the centre of the resort but loved the location of the son baulo. Right on the beach, fab clear blue sea. The hotel has a strict policy for not allowing the reserving of sun beds which was great as this ensured you could always get a sun bed on the terrace or around the pool, at any time. Food great, loads of choice, well cooked & well presented.... if you can fault it you need to visit a few more hotels of this type before commenting!! A pleasent walk to the centre of the resort, we often walked there & got a taxi back which cost less than 4 euros! would go back for a relaxing beach holiday.......oh & loads of nice bars!!

We stayed at the Son Baulo in June 08, with our 1 year old daughter. It is the perfect location for families with kids. The waiters, chefs, cleaners and staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. The food was excellent as was the entertainment, we particularly enjoyed Kool and the Gang and The Four Tops tribute acts. There are two small gripes. 1) The air conditioning in the rooms is non existant. 2) The Laundry facility is not open for long enough with the amount of guests the hotel is serving. Overall an excellent location and top hotel withgreat entertainment and service to match. PS the beach, pool and baby pool are all top notch.
