The hotel was superb, the staff were all very friendly and the food was excellent, lots of choice. As it was early season a few of the local shops were still closed but that didn't bother us. It was very easy to get return tickets to Venice (bus and boat) from the local tobacco shop. We did go to Venice three times and enjoyed the atmosphere. We visited Murano under our own steam and spent about three hours walking about there. Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and would go again.

We booked at the last minute and were so lucky to choose the Monaco Qisisana. The food was exceptional, the breakfast, served on the terrace or in the garden if you so wished, had everything you could want and dinner was even better a huge choice of starters, a carvery and giddle and fish that actually smelt of fish, so many vegetables that it was hard to choose and to follow every kind of fresh friut, cakes and cheese.the staff could not have been more helpful. Our bathroom had numerous towels that were changed daily and it was clean. As a hotel we would go there again. Our thomson rep was not as good as we had expected, and not very helpful so we travelled to venice by local bus and boat. Choose this hotel if want the best of lido de jesolo.

Our second visit to this hotel - we came again as we had enjoyed it last year particularly the food. We loved the peace and quiet around the pool! Clearly the charge of 3 Euros a day per person had something to do with it! This we felt was rather expensive especially if you had a family with you. Although the beach area was free we personally prefer pool side, so it worked out expensive for us. The staff this year from the receptionists through to the waiters and waitresses were appalling. They were unwelcoming, unfriendly particularly the lady in charge of the ordering of drinks in the evening - her manner was particularly offensive. She DEMANDED PAYMENT before she had even put the drinks down on the table. The owner himself who had appeared quite genial last year seemed unwelcoming this year and may be that affected the staff as they followed his style. They had left their smiles and manners at home. The gentleman in charge of the snack place by the pool however was extremely pleasant, friendly and smiled a lot - which was a blessing. In saying all of this we would return to the hotel - the food we thoroughly enjoyed, the choices were excellent, there was something for everybody and of a good quality. The Thomson rep Andreaa was brilliant. The cleaners were lovely - they graciously smiled and acknowledged you, rooms very clean, plenty of towels which were changed every day but they really need to review reception staff, waiters and waitresses. We went to Treviso (can't remember how that is spelt!) followed by the wine tasting. We loved the town, the shops!!! and the vineyard. Stephan was our guide on the tour and was brilliant (we had him last year as well). The owners of the vineyard were obviously happy to have us and gave us plenty of time and wine - would certainly recommend the trip for a relaxing day out. All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday chilling out in the sun which is why we went - just a shame that the staff couldn't have smiled and made us feel welcomed. Two ladies on our own we felt very safe in the resort during the day or night.

My wife and myself went to Italy for the first time on the 17 th July this year not knowing what to expect , but wow first of all a very short flight (very comfortable) and then the hotel , Monaco Quisisana there is only one word to describe this hotel and that is Magnificent in every possible way, the staff 100 the food I still cannot believe the quality- quantity and variety every day. The bedroom was spotless / fresh towels every day and very unusual a free safe in the room !! The owner was always there morning and evening . Outside the usual pool ,cleaned every day lovely terraced area and small beach area with free deckchairs. Mr Gianneti I would like to thank you for a wonderful holiday hope to see you again in the not to distant future. Eddie Hilary Gallimore . Cleveleys Lancashire

On our arrival we were bustled into the dining room for the remains of a buffet meal. The food is usually ok but dining room staff clear food away 30mins before end of meals. Service is slow + sullen. The reception staff are very rude and will talk about you in Italian whilst you try + get service. The reception staff find guests a real inconvience. The owner prowls about in a very intimidating way . The swimming pool is large but has lack of shallow end so is not suitable for non swimmers. The private beach is well kept if you can stand deckchairs so 60's retro!! We would never ever stay here again.
