this is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. rooms were very clean, beds not very comfortable.staff were very friendly and helpful. food was very nice . breakfast excellent but not much choice for lunch and evening meal. need more variety with the food.very well situated for bars, clubs ect.would stay here again but only for 3-4 days maximum.very good entertainment in the hotel on a night time.
Our family stayed at the Regente on our first trip to Benidorm in April 2009 and we found it superb holiday experience. We have never booked a package holiday as a family, and have never stayed in the Costas before. What a pleasant surprise for us all. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. Despite looking a little dated, just as all of Benidorm appears to do, the recent facelift to the hotel has given it a new lease of life. The staff were excellent, both extremely helpful and friendly. The food was very good. We had booked a full board option and found this to be superb value for money. All meals were buffet style, which especially suited my two children aged 13 and 9. Mealtimes were flexible and they would even provide a packed lunch if you were going out for the day. My children loved the pool, though I could imagine this becoming crowded in high season. We all enjoyed the evening entertainment. The hotel tried very hard in this area and despite my hesitancy with acts claiming to be sensational and a tribute to Elvis, we were appreciative of the efforts the hotel made to cater for the needs of all their guests. The Regente has pleasant bedrooms, bathrooms and nice, comfortable communal areas such as the reception area with internet access, the restaurant and the bar. The beds are very basic, and this was my only grumble. Everything was very tidy and the toilets, poolside and restaurant were very clean. The hotel is at the far northern end of Levante, and the 800m gentle slope to the beach, 400m to the bus stop to Terra Mitica, and only 200m to the nearest mini market suited us fine. There is nothing sophisticated about this side of Benidorm and as long as guest realise this it will not take them by surprise. We also used the nearby car hire firm, Centauro, where we hired a small hatchback for two days. Prices were very competitive, cheaper than the larger global companies were and service was excellent. Would we recommend the hotel to other guests and rate our holiday experience a good one? Most definitely. Would we recommend Centauro and Terra Mitica to other families similar to ourselves? Without hesitation. Would we go back to Benidorm? Probably not. As I started by saying, package holidays are not really our thing. If it is yours, I suggest you look no further than the Regente. If, like us you feel that anything would be a distant second to a ski break, try the Regente in Benidorm, it will be different but you wont be disappointed.
We have been to Benidorm many times and really enjoy it. Over the years we have stayed in many hotels and apartments. It was the first time we have stayed at the Regente and thought it was very good. Everywhere was clean and room service was excellent, The waiters in the hotel were very polite and helpful, We have no complaints at all about anything and we will certainly stay there again. Stayed in hotel for 2 weeks, fantastic food great staff. One of chefs was teaching me a new spanish phrase every day. Resteraunt manager greets people by first name, everybody who works there is genually friendly and helpful. I have stayed in 5 star hotels with much worse service. What a breath of fresh air.
