Yalikavak is the best place for you to go on holiday, its safe for the kids and the people are so friendly, and there is nowhere as friendly as Mustis Steakhouse on the promonade. The food here is beyond belief Good old english / Irish food. You can even get normal fish and chips at Mustis like at home. Their steaks are famous and you'll see why when you get one.
Brenda, Musti's Irish wife is a true gem, she will do anything to help you, she will go out of her way to make sure everything is great for you. Even if its not at her restuarant she will help you find the best places to stay she even sorted us out with property we bought, and she wasnt the agent. She has her own estate agents in Yalikavak, future homes.
Yalikavak has a great fish resturant also its the Ali Baba in the centre of the villiage. Altan the chef is a great chef. enjoy your time here I know you will as we did. The M Club is a great night spot with english woman Debbie the owner. Dance till 7 in the morning during the summer months.

My familiy and I came back from yalikavak bodrum 5 days ago stayed there for two weeks at Vera Belvedere Hotel. Firstly the hotel personnel from top to bottom was excellent although it was a three star rated hotel. the staff were constantly working and asking if we needed anything. We went all inclusive and the food was perfect if you asked for anything they would go over their way to make you happy especially the chef named Emirhan. The rooms were always cleaned and the view from the room were amazing. There was a shuttle service for the beach which was exellent. At night going down to yalikavak is breathtaking marine is lovely and there are also a few discos. you have to eat at the kavakli kofteci absolutely delicious. Just a lovely place to visit with or without family. Also if you want to visit Bodrum its only a half an hour trip which is worth it as nightlife is really there.

A Turkish experience! Good beaches fantastic people. Restaurants excellent. Dede, Ali Baba serve the best food fish being a speciality, Corbachi the soup shop does cheap food that is out of this world. Try The Windmill for the best steaks at a very reasonable price (tenderloin is best) I can recommend the casseroles and kebabs, all freshly made. Rahat Bar, relaxed and friendly. Loved the place so much have bought a house there!!

A beautiful, scenic resort. Yalikavak is littered with small beaches which are fantastically clean and the water crystal clear. Most of these beaches are attached to a bar or restaurant, so as long as you buy your drinks from them, the sun loungers and parasols can be free of charge. This also helps with overcrowding, as you find with some of the public beaches. As with most of Turkey, the prices for food and drink offers excellent value for money and being a small resort, it tends to be cheaper here than in Bodrum or Kusadasi. I feel this resort is ideal for families and couples, but may be too quiet for Club 18-30! There's a large emphasis on fishing and there are a number of lovely fish restaurants that can be found near the small harbour over looking the sea. There is a large ex-pat community here as many British have holiday homes. There is also an annual yatching race which brings many people from all over the world to visit.
