Book a flight to Fuerteventura for a laid-back beach break. This Canary island has some of the best sand this side of the Atlantic.
For a sunshine break in the slow lane, Fuerteventura is a great choice. It’s the second largest Canary island but moves to a more chilled beat compared to its neighbours. Days here tend to revolve around the beach. And with a combination of wild, weather-beaten stretches and golden swathes, it’s easy to see why. The north has a big following with adrenaline junkies - surfers and windsurfers snap up flights to Fuerteventura, thanks to some of the best conditions for watersports. Come sundown, resorts like Corralejo buzz with lively bars and restaurants open until the wee hours. Or follow the locals’ lead and pull up a chair at a tapas bar.
