Flights to Sal Airport

A flight to Sal will take you straight to the centre of the island. From here, all roads lead to the sea.

Flights to Sal touch down in the capital, Espargos – putting you right at the heart of the island. From here, the roads split off into four compass points. Head off in any direction and you’ll find tumbledown towns backed by rugged volcanic scenery. Most people make a beeline for the south. Here, the resort of Santa Maria is all powdery sands, turquoise waters and swanky hotels. And flights to Sal open up the beaches of some of Cape Verde’s neighbouring islands, too. You can reach the nearest – Boa Vista – by trimaran or sailboat.
