Thomson Airways is the official UK launch customer for PSPs in-flight.
This week, customers onboard Thomson Airways will now be able to hire PlayStation Portables (PSPs) during their flight. PSPs offer another form of entertainment for customers and will ensure that the kids, as well as the adults, are kept busy!
Customers on Thomson Airways flights will be able to play the latest games, including Ratchet and Clank, Buzz!, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 at 30,000 feet. In addition, the PSPs will also include a wide range of the latest movies, including Night at the Museum 2, X-Men Wolverine, Australia, Marley & Me, 12 Rounds, Taken, 27 Dresses and Meet Dave.
Carl Gissing, Director of Customer Services for Thomson Airways, comments: “We are always looking for new ways to improve the customer experience onboard our flights. Introducing PSPs will give our customers the freedom of having their own handsets to play the latest games and watch movies of their choice as they fly.”
Mark Hogg, CEO of IFE Services commented: “We are delighted to have worked with Thomson Airways over the last 18 months developing this exciting and innovative product which will be exclusive to Thomson customers in the UK.”
PSPs, including headsets are available to rent onboard flights from 25 January 2010. This service is available on certain aircraft operating mid-haul routes from 14 UK airport bases and will be priced from only £7.50.
