Excursions – Essential Information

Thomson/First Choice is a trading name of TUI UK Ltd and is acting only in the capacity of an Agent for the supplier in the sale of excursion/activity tours and tickets. When making an excursion/activity booking, you accept that you are entering into a contract directly between the supplier of the excursion/activity and yourself. The excursion/activity providers' terms and conditions will apply.

Excursion/activity tours and tickets are sold subject to the following Agreement:

Confirmation of excursion / activity and issue of tickets

  • Confirmation of the Excursion / Activity booked will be by e-mail, within 48hours of booking after payment has been confirmed.

  • If you decide to cancel your booking, then you may be liable for the full cost of the excursion /activity booked. This will be up to your excursion provider.
 

Payment

Payment can be made by Credit or debit cards. All credit card transactions carry a 2% credit card charge. Transactions are in pound sterling and include VAT.

 

Alterations to excursion or activity

Whilst every effort is made to keep the description of every organised excursion or activity up to date on the www.thomson.co.uk/excursions website, TUI UK Ltd is acting as an agent for the excursion provider, who provides the description to us.

The excursion provider may cancel, alter or amend your excursion/activity at their absolute discretion for many reasons including, where it considers that there may be a risk to your comfort, health or safety, or if there is an insufficient number of individuals booked on the tour to make it viable to proceed. You will be bound by the excursion/activity providers' terms and conditions, and will only receive a refund of the price you paid for the excursion/activity, and no more.

 

Passports and visas

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct passport or entry visas to enter the country where the Excursion or Activity will take place. For information and advise on the area you will be visiting please contact www.fco.gov.uk

 

Complaints

Problems are very rare on excursions; however TUI UK Ltd act only in the capacity of an agent on behalf of the excursion provider. Your contract will be with that excursion provider and will be subject to their standard terms and conditions. Any issue with its proper performance (including any allegation of breach of contract or negligence) should be taken up with the excursion/activity provider directly. We (TUI UK Ltd) will do our best to assist you, but will have no liability in relation to the performance of that contract.

In the event of a complaint, you must raise this immediately at the time with a representative of the excursion provider.
