Catch Sky’s latest reality TV show

When the audition call went out for Sky’s latest TV show, wannabe cruise ship entertainers were queuing up for a chance to get their place in the spotlight. Fresh One Productions – Jamie Oliver’s production company – teamed up with Thomson Cruises and Peel, our onboard entertainment company, to pull together Showboaters for Sky 1 HD.

Meet the contestants

The show follows the ten contestants, who range from a 56 year old hairdresser to a 21 year old Geordie steelworker, as they sail around the Caribbean learning the skills they need to entertain you on your cruise holidays.

After facing the weekly passenger vote, and pleading their case in front of the judges, two contestants were eliminated and flown home the very next day, until just four contestants remained for the grand final.

As well as being challenged to learn a new show each week, the wannabes also had to integrate themselves into ship life. They had to learn the highs, lows and rules of becoming the ‘faces’ of Thomson Dream.
