Golf holidays in the Algarve
If you're looking for quiet then the cute little fishing village of Olhos D'Agua will simply charm your socks off. And yet, just a stone's throw from lively Albufeira, it's never far from the action. The swanky RIU Palace Algarve is located close to Olhos D'Agua, and you'll find a prestigious golf course or two just a short distance away. Don't forget to utilise the hotel's games room after your game, or perhaps a spot in the wellness centre to really wind down at the end of the day.
Close to Olhos D'Agua is Acoteias, home to the lovely 4T+ Hotel Falesia. With bags of style, the Falesia is next-door to the Pinecliffs Golf Course, and also offers discounts at other nearby courses. There are stacks of other sports and activities on hand too, so if you're all golfed-out then why not try a spot of tennis, watersports, or perhaps an indulgent massage?
Just up the road from Acoteias is Vilamoura, sporting several 18-hole championship courses. And as if that's not enough, the resort is also hugely popular for sailing. But if golf's your thing, then you'd fit right in at either the Vila Gale Marina or the Vila Gale Ampalius. Both close to the stylish marina and the beach, the Vila Gale Marina offers discounts on local courses and free shuttle buses, along with use of the putting green at it's sister hotel - none other than the Vila Gale Ampalius. So you won't have to go very far to start perfecting your putt.
Further along the coast, on the other side of Olhos D'Agua is Albufeira. Our pick of this resort's crop is the Cerro Alagoa, a stylish and recently refurbished 4T hotel. With a cracking location close to the old town of Albufeira, this hotel has good access to a nearby golf course. It also boasts it's own games room, pool table and health club, including a gym‚ sauna‚ Turkish bath, whirlpool bath and massage - perfect for resting those aching limbs.
Moving further east around the coast is Alvor, home to the stunning hilltop views of the 4T Pestana Delfim. Close to the busy resort centre of Lagos, the hotel has it's own beach club, health and fitness centre, and three tennis courts.
